From the brilliant blog by Eric Barker. Tons of supporting links and general great information on how the hamster digs the bad boy. Some of my favorite nuggets:

1 - Bond is supremely confident. This makes him sexy. It also makes him great at his job; being overconfident often gives better results than being objective and rational. (We'd all be better off moderately overconfident.) Neither men or women prefer modest guys

2 - 007 is almost always calm. (Maybe that's due to all the sex.) Even when people are trying to kill him he's calm. This is sexy. Bond doesn't move unnecessarily. You never see his knee bouncing or hands fidgeting. He speaks slowly and deliberately and is rarely rushed. These are all very charismatic qualities

3 - Bond is by no means a comedian but he knows the power of a well-timed one liner. Women are attracted to funny men because humor is a sign of intelligence.

4 - Women fall for him because he's exciting to be around and this plays a much larger part in a relationship than most think.

James Bond game, anyone?

You can pull 007 game, but it would have to be very well staged, or you can try and be an international spy.

Speaking of modesty, I regularly get told I'm like bond by ladies. I have all the traits associated with bond, even the accent.

I've had a flirting chick do this more than once - she'll find some sly way of feeling your arm/bicep to get an idea of what kind of shape you're in.

I am lmfao at the Archer video. I don't watch TV except for spanish TV (to learn spanish) so I've never heard of it until now. Brillant-I'll have to track it down and watch.

The linked article is outstanding. I play Bond Game. When I saw Craig in Casino Royale, I realized how much his persona as Bond was like my natural personality-aloof, somewhat arrogant, taciturn but witty, standoffish, calm but intense at times, and evasive. I decided to play this up and have studied Craig as Bond numerous times to learn how to mimic some of his more effective facial expressions, manner of speaking(without the accent) and body language.

This style doesn't appeal to every woman, but it appeals to a lot and especially to the types i like.

A while back a girl I met told me out of the blue "You look like Daniel Craig" The funny thing is, I DON'T look like Craig other than being close to his age and being fit (but not as ripped as he is). Obviously, my mannerisms reminded her so much of Craig as Bond she thought I looked like him!

I'm still me of course but I've been able to refine my presentation to women by this method. Actors are experts at communicating through body language, facial expression, and voice tone and i think at lot of players could up their game by choosing an actor who fits their style and emulating some of his moves

if that would be true i should be in the 3 digits with my lays. Arms don't grow proportionally to the times you had sex, but with the consistency and dedication in the gym. I know plenty shredded guys with 17 inch arms who are foreveralone'ers.

If you've got really huge arms, a woman doesn't have to feel them to know you work out. It's obvious. Women do this to see if you're in shape - not necessarily to see if you're a weight lifter. She may want to touch you because she can't see your physique through your shirt. I don't see where I correlated arms size to the amount of lays a guy gets. Being in shape helps overall attractiveness, but I think everyone knows other factors go into whether or not you get pussy.

Most crazy thing about this all is that Bond and his persona was molded of after real M-I-6 operative and the author Ian Fleming himself. I am sure 90% of the missions and stories were fake but the swag and persona of bond was molded of Fleming's own. Bad ass!



Any dude whom ain't a fan or can't appreciate Bond is a omega vegetable. Even my old man fucks with Bond.

I'm reading all of Flemings books in order now, I'm up to For your eyes only.

The character is more based on Fleming's brother than anything else in terms of being a blunt instrument in an adventerous world.

The aspects of Bond in regards to style, food, drink and hygeine products are tailored after Ian.

Assertive and authoritarian charisma is a fantastically powerful force. People, especially women, are (as we've asserted before) weak and prone to following strong role models.
Also bond is boss. He bears a strong resemblance to Dusan Popov.

I think that Don Draper from Mad Men falls into the same category. Calm, confident and 1% funny.
