Recently a few thirty-something women have lost touch after sex on the second date.

Flaking occurs when women are not emotionally invested in the relationship. The logistics allowed drinking and escalation at my place without preceding sexual talk and comfort. After a few subsequent texts, the women just stopped responding. They might say they don't regret sex, but they are obiously not comfortable with the pressure of another date.

Is this common? How do you prevent it, and how do you recover? I am thinking of delaying sex till the third date, and foreshadowing the encounter with more explicit talk about our mutual attraction. I might try recovery by just acknowledging that we moved too fast for comfort.
