Sup players? I'd like to know how y'all react in front of challenges such as douchebags trying to get in your face while you're pulling, peeps questioning you in front of broads (the latter could probably be referred as a cockblock but I think there's a small difference: examples off the top of my head could be your peers saying you're wack at basketball or whatever in front of a target) and such things.
Couple nights ago I was talking to a girl. She was very receptive giving IOIs and generally being enthusiastic about our convo. I was really happy until a random guy bumped into me. I almost stumbled and believing this would be a big giveaway for my alpha-wannabe attitude I tugged at the dude's arm demanding an apology. Needless to say I ended up losing my cool and we started shoving each other till we got separated. After the incident the girl turned cold on me and I couldn't get my vibe going till the end of the night.
Maybe my mistake has been caused by lack of experience or me being slightly emotional (I was really feeling in the zone with the girl).
How do you guys usually handle these situations? I know there have been threads dealing with how to handle douchebags and the likes but how do you react in front of say, someone calling you out in front of a girl? As always thanks a lot and happy gaming

I wouldn't even chill with someone who would cockblock like the example you gave. That is a step above cock blocking and would be hating...

First off, never get into a shoving match. If someone does something to where you feel you need to shove them, or they shove you first, then blast them in the face. No grown man should shove someone. Best case scenario is you get into a shoving match and look like pussies, worst case is you shove someone and they knock your dick in the dirt.

If this type of stuff is happening to you often, then you are probably not carrying yourself how you should. Best advice for this is to take up Jiu Jitsu/Muay Thai/Boxing/Weightlifting/etc. Great confidence builders in every facet of life, not just fighting. You will also start to carry yourself differently once you become more confident in your abilities to beat someones ass.

And I don't mean differently in the fact that you become an asshole, I mean differently in the fact that if someone bumps into you as you mention, you are more likley to laugh it off because he poses no threat to you and you feel no need for you to really give a shit about him.

Thanks a lot RioNomad, to be honest I have practiced MT for over a year now and would have had no problem knocking him out, however where I live it's easy for offended people to take action (legal) against you and this has already happened to a friend of mine who clocked a guy in the face.
Do you think a classy outcome to this is possible? I have no qualms whatsoever scrapping with guys and luckily this doesn't happen to me often but the issue in this case was spoiling a set that looked really promising and eventually being charged with assault. I know there is a certain line to be drawn and I won't allow anyone to walk over me or anything I was just wondering if you could share tips on how to be assertive enough to diffuse a situation and have contenders back down without "getting your hands dirty" and without coming along as beta.
