Youtube advertising revenue is a real thing. For those registered in YouTube’s Partner Program, it's made millionaires from guys just shooting video in their apartment.

Replygirls on youtube look for popular videos, match the tags, and then add videos of themselves talking with the camera focused firmly on their boobs, often even cutting off their head. Their goal is to leech hits off of popular videos and generate advertising revenue themselves.

This way of playing the "related videos" links has been known for a while. But with now so many reply girls making 5-15 videos each per day, they're now quickly crowding out any Related Videos links that might guide you to other cool content. Instead all the links are just boobs. If you follow the link, it's stupid girls painfully babbling, making little sense, and often never even watching what they're responding to.



Youtube is changing the referral weighting algorithm to also include how long people spend watching related content --most people stop watching replygirls posts after only a few seconds. It remains to be seen if this will make any difference at all.

I've seen this for a while, as they tend to target nerdy videos to reply to, and I love me some Lets Play videos (yogscast, holler)

What I find interesting, and hopeful, is that the comments for any of these videos are NOT the beta farms you'd think they'd be of guys telling the girl how pretty she is. Most are guys calling her a whore, a slut, and a skank for, well, being a whore, a slut, and a skank. Young men are starting to get it. They're no longer looking at a pretty face and a nice set of tits and being mesmerized into betadom.

This is the true revenge of the nerds. Seeing as how myself and Gmac both fall into this category of reformed geeks turned player/alpha male it gives me hope to see these skanks being shutdown

Revenge of the nerds is definitely happening a lot now.

I imagine it is cyclical, and at times like these, when you've got young [nice, good, gentle] men being utterly disenfranchised, you get more wanting revenge on the system that bred them.

Society is propped up by nerds, and it only works while they play ball. I hate the film Fight Club, but it is happening in real life right now.

Exactly!

The average beta dude (see emo guys and hipsters) get just enough play to keep them in check. They'll get the fringe chicks twice a year that get their dick just wet enough so that they dont spiral down into a Doctor House like slide of cynicism and misanthropy. Huge nerds on the other hand dont get this. Their social circles include zero females and they never get any play in real life, so slowly they get embittered (or "unsweetened" to quote Shade Zero), but they're nerds, they're inherently smart, so they turn this malice into something more powerful.

They either become social jihadist who spend their days blowing egomaniac girls out of the water on the internet (see the 4chan v. Jesse Slaughter incident) or they learn to use their big ol' brains to learn who to play the game, and suddenly they put down the Starcraft and start writing books on how to get laid.

The more female hypergamy is unleashed, the more girls will do this stuff instead of saying "no it's too degrading, I don't want to whore myself". And the more men are pussified (Betaified? Sounds a bit too much like what is done with popes after they die), the more of them will actually spend time watching those videos and drooling over 'boobs'. It's a vicious circle.

However, what Chad Daring writes might mean that I'm mistaken in my assumption. Still, I'm not going to browse those videos to check.

Im seeing nerd backlash against slutty girls more and more. As a closet nerd I llurk a lot of the traditionally "beta" areas of the web. Even 4chan, that most wretched hive of scum and virginity has taken a small stand. Before below average girls would post nudes of themselves with tings like "am I hot?" and the grubbing masses would pander to her with dozens, if not hundreds of posts, then it started to change.

Im also noticing more "chauvinistic" humor on the humor sites as well. Lots of back to the kitchen jokes and anti-feminists jokes portrayed in silly pictures. Its just silly pictures, but its a start.

/b/ - 50/50 (tits or gtfo has no teeth anymore)
/r9k/ - slut shaming everywhere (something like every other thread)
/soc/ - fatties getting adored for nudes everywhere

the only other board i look at is /sp/ and girls don't really like to bullshit about sports and cumming on mila kunis' feet.

/soc/ is a mess, but thats what its there for. They basically created a board for the betas to flock too, which in and of itself is somewhat of a victory when a site like 4chan, as a whole, realizes that betas need to be quarantined.
