The site seems to have been set up by this guy Brandon Wade, who has 3 other sugar-daddy orientated sites (SeekingArrangement, WhatsYourPrice, SeekingMillionaire) that get a lot of press. Says he has an MBA from MIT and worked as a consultant for some Fortune 500 multi-nationals. Seems like your typical hustler/marketer but with high profile creds and media connections who is looking to try and emulate the success of a site like AshleyMadison.

With all that press he'll probably get a lot of DC types who would be down for it.

As for the sex part, the reason they can't actively promote that the guy will be getting sex in exchange for travel expenses is because the site might fall foul of hypocritical US anti-prostitution laws.

Seems a compromise between seeking an arrangement - really no Rich man is going to pay a salary without a real ROI, Miss Travel - How many guys are going to bring some unknown sand to the beach before they know she will deliver and the crazy WhatsYourPrice.com where you bid to take a so called hottie on a date with them often expecting a $200 to $300 gratuity to go on a date with you - really??? This is actually a brilliant business idea - assuming the women are going to be giving it up, which I imagine most of them are. Just look at all the guys who come to Southeast Asia and recruit Isaan women to travel the country, and often the entire region, with them. Why anyone would pay money to bring sand to the beach is beyond me, but hey. Even in America, half-way decent women are always getting offers of trips abroad from moneyed men. It's a common ploy for guys with more loot than pride.

Men spend a lot of money on this type of shit already; this site is just stepping in as the middle-man.

The same goes with me. I would only consider hosting her at my place (I live in a very touristic city), but that's what I'm doing anyway in couchsurfing, where there's no prostitution side or at least is not so obvious.

Man, the first person to sign up for this site would have been Joran Vandersloot. This seems like a great pipeline to travel with a girl and then "run out of money", discard her cell phone and then run any of the following:
