Don't get me wrong I Like NFL too, and American sports as a whole (except baseball) But it is true that there is some arrogance in the way Americans treat their sports.

The whole world likes F-1 , but Americans created their own version of it (Indy) and they love Nascar.
Brazil likes Indy too but it is because there are races here and lots of Brazilian Pilots, besides that , If I'm not wrong it is a very "American" category.

and how they dare to call NFL and MLB champions as "World Champions" ? It's like America is their own planet , they don't give a shit about the rest of the world.

Totally agreed Mr. GM, almost makes me laugh seeing them use words like the World Series or World Champions to the winner of league while the only ones competing are americans and american teams? Delusional to the max. Speaking of football vs soccer, I never use the word soccer, for me, it's football and when I refer to NFL, use either NFL or american football.

And Nascar and Indy racing is a joke, even a monkey could do it. All they do is go round and round on an oval/round shaped track, making only left turns. I've yet to understand the fun in Nascar racing...however, F1, that's the epitome of ALPHA sport. Taking the fastest cars in the world, flirting constantly with danger and death, flying first class around the best locales in the world and with the hottest bithces around you.

MrGM, read today in the italian media that there is a strong push in the Brasilian media to bring Pep at the helm of the Seleção for the 2014 WC. What's the scoop in Brasil on that end? Pep would be awesome as coach of Brasil. What do you Brasileiros think?

I agree with what you said , Except that Indy has mixed and street tracks and not just ovals(We had the Sao Paulo race today and it is a street track).But obviously F-1 is a whole different level , any serious race fan knows that.

About Pep, as soon as the news from his resignation as Barca coach got here , a huge movement in social networks started to bring Pep to coach the Seleção.
It would be awesome and historic if Guardiola accepted the job (he would be the first foreign coach to do it and he also said that his inspiration came from old argentinian and Brazilian squads & coaches.)

But Honestly this is impossible , Pep would never accept to be a employee of CBF , one of the most corrupted football federations in the world , plus the media here is insane, after losing two games in a row they would start to ask for his head in a silver plate.
Not gonna happen.

He said in the contest of Brazilian players going to Europe to play in small teams or to be in the bench. It was like : "If you want to be in the 2014 WC , It's better to stay active in a big Club in Brazil playing constantly than to "disappear" in Europe in a small team or to be a "bench" player" (Kaka, for example).

Any patriotic rant about the Brazilian league is bullshit , although the salaries here can be as high as in Europe in some cases , we all know that the Brazilian league is an "Elephant Cemetery" ; They all come back here when they are old and fat , waiting for the decease of their careers.

Or Milan, but that would be only if Il Cavailiere is willing to open his big fat wallet to compete with the English new rich boys and the Spaniard giants. Actually, thinking about it, the best and most fullfilling challenge for Pep would be Milan. And I'd be ecstatic to see him at my club!

Mr, GM, good point about Pep not wanting to work for possibly the most corrupt FA in the world. Btw, the biggest culprit in this is this SOB Ricardo Teixeira, the godfather of Brasilian football. He is the one who's been running and ruining Brasilian football for the past few decades. Him and Havelange are the reason why there is so much corruption in Brasilian football.

I think Abramovich is a fan of him however I think Pep genuinely wants a year out of the game and I think Chelsea will stick with Di Mateo. This probably suits both parties as Roberto will be able to keep the seat warm for Pep for a year and then get moved on.

Wherever he goes it's going to be interesting to see how he does as a manager without players of the quality of Xavi,Iniesta,Messi etc. Would like to see him take over an unfashionable club and see what he can do.
