I've been taking note of something really similar. I noticed a little while ago that a plain clique of girls always talk about how "cute" guys are far far more than a hotter group. It's almost like these girls are going for hotter guys so their children will have a shot at being good looking but the better looking girls don't have this pressure.

Ya, I'm not going to argue this point too hard, since for me it's an observation I can't completely explain (Think Pablo Picasso as an example of what I mean, though). After all, logically why would it be better to be ugly than good looking? Good things are good and ugly things are ugly by definition.

It may be more accurate to say that it is better to have, or even pretend to have, one big weakness, rather than appear perfect at everything. So being ugly being an advantage will only come into play if you score really high on everything else. Or astronomically high on one thing (Pablo Picasso). Why is it better not to appear perfect? Don't know, but maybe people just won't believe you really are that perfect. They'll think you're fronting. There's a bit about this in "48 Laws of Power" I think. Robert Greene can probably explain it better than I can.

Also, someone who is good looking has had a different kind of life than someone who is ugly. As a chick if you're ugly you're in pretty deep trouble, but as a guy you can, at least theoretically, compensate. Sometimes this compensation leads to great inventions, enterprises, the development of exceptional personal attributes etc. But as a more basic example: Ugly guys may be more motivated to understand game since they don't have their looks to fall back on. I realise that this compensation doesn't usually happen, since, well, it's hard to be exceptional - by definition. But I suppose what I'm saying is when it does happen it blows mens looks out the water. So imagine you're in a bar in Santa Monica and you and another guy are hitting on the same chick. Say the other guy is Rory McKilroy. Who does the chick pay most attention to?

The dude in the second picture is the actor who played Ari Gold in Entourage.

Most males would see them as very hot, if you dont is because you have something wrong with your tastes.
