Everyday I'm settlin'
I've got this issue. I settle when I'm out at the bar, I'm living by the boner test. It basically goes like this. I've been somewhat of a natural, or at least a natural bullshitter. I'm fairly alpha on the onset, I manage a big company, and have a few hundred employees under my watch and did the military thing so I come across quite dominate. I just tend to have a fear of approaching 7s and up. Maybe it comes from my fat phase in high school.
Anyway, I'm a good looking guy who meets all the prerequisites of the city I live in, I have a beard, I'm tattooed, I know the local scene, and go to the right venues. While my notch count is going up almost every time I go out it's not adding any to the stable. These girls I'm landing are typically opening me and I take it from there. Honestly, now that I look back at it, most of my lays have come that way. Either a glance or a comment about something happening has opened a conversation that has lead to my dick going inside them.
Last night was my fourth night in a row to go out and finally I had all I could handle, I had a 5er open me and even dance in front of me while I watched. I couldn't take it and got up and left the bar. What's the deal, how do you overcome an approach anxiety? I mean shit, it's ridiculous, that I can bang just about any girl I get talking to, and know it; but, still cannot muster the balls to go and start a conversation. It doesn't help either knowing that if I just wait around something will fall into my lap.
Anyone else have a similar issue that they've gotten over? I'm sure I'm going to hear that practice is key. But honestly, how do you not settle and turn down what is boner-test passing but not stable-worthy?

We all had/have/in the process of eliminating approach anxiety. And yes the more you approach, the less you'll feel anxious.
Put yourself in a mind set of aiming high at the 8s+ girls, if they reject you (a good thing! get used to it/over it), you'll always have the easy ones that you can easily bang according to you. What do you have to lose?
Also keep in mind, most of the time (from my experience), the 8s+ could be intimidated by YOU, just like you are intimidated by how good looking they are, they could be intimidated by how good looking/confident you are.
Seriously, i've had 8s/9s tell me (AFTER BANGING THEM, usually in bed), that they found me hot blah blah blah but they couldn't get the courage to show interest, or they thought that i wouldn't go for them because i could've gotten any girl at that bar/club that night. I was like WTF! when i heard that, (of course in my mind only) and i reply to them with something along the lines of "i saw something different in you than other girls". Ultimately creating another girl on the rotation, till it blows in my face (sometimes haha).
P.S: "if she asks, what was different about me than other girls?" you can tease her with "you were more drunk than other girls" hahaha of course this is AFTER THE BANG! not before.

RE: Everyday I'm settlin'
Pilate I can relate. I have trouble breaking beyond the 7s. I can approach those all day long and even if I have a rotation going I still get intimidating approaching hotties. There's the thing, you just have to do it. Your voice will crack, you'll probably talk too fast, you might talk at half volume. You could royally fuck it up and she'll blow you off.
What I notice is I've only got one crash and burn for the night. But once I get past it, everything's fine. That first hurdle is the hardest, but once you're over it, it's just smooth sailing. The next two girls might not bite either, but at least my approach will be 100% more solid with either of them than the first. Your first terrifying approach WILL be awful until you get a ton more experience (so I hear), but every approach for the rest of the night will be much, much easier.
