Tongue Anyone have a good move to play at the pool?
In this situation im in a chair studying and shes on the otherside reading a book. Ive been thinking about ways to naturally open her but I've got nothing.

As soon as I posted this she left.

What's she reading?

Ask her 'excuse me, is that a good book?' and ramble on...

Just saw your edit.

Oh I just thought of something. I have flash cards with spanish vocabulary on them. I could have walked over and asked if she could do me a favor and quiz me over them.

You said it in your first post. She's reading a book. There's your prop. Don't overcomplicate it. When I approach girls reading, it's clear right off the bat if she's open to conversation (majority of the time) or if she's really into her book and doesn't want to talk (minority of the time)

Ask her about the book, the author, where she bought it, do they have a good selection? Ask for a recommendation, tell her what you like, how back in high school you liked xyz author, your favorite subject in highs school, the time you took a field trip to the author's native country (lie, who gives a fuck)

The flash cards aren't a bad idea, but it's a little random and it's pushing a prop and interaction on her, whereas using her book is more natural.

if u got a great body, swim over and start splashing water on her.

then with a big grin say "oops sorry!"

then you can either carry on a conversation there, or swim away, walk past her 10 minutes later and carry on.

If you are already joking with her or know her in someway, push her into the pool.

If this is a girl you've had zero contact with, I wouldn't do either of the above, no offense guys. Many girls would be extremely turned off or pissed off by this unless you're extremely hot. He's talking about a girl he hasn't said one word to, not exactly a situation I would caveman.

I think this was a troll post.

How can I guy have 1000 posts here on the Roosh forum, observe that target is reading a book, and still not know how to open and ramble?

If you have a radio/ipod with you, walk over and playfully ask them if they would mind not reading while you are listening to your music because you find it too distracting.

Then you can ask them about their book or if there is something they want you to play.

How bout just go over there and say "hi"

Or, "whatsup", or "hey, isn't it nice out here today",

or, "hi, how are you"

You don't need any special tricks!!!

Just saying "Hello" is often good enough.

If you wanna get fancy:

google her book
read reviews on the book
get the plot summary, etc
swim over there and pretend that you read the book

Say, "oh your reading that book, thats a crazy one"

or, "hey my favorite book from last year"

Talk about the book.

Walk up to her with open arms, sincere look on your face and yell "honey i'm home!, can't believe you're relaxing by the pool while i was working my butt off" haha i kid (maybe).

Forget the book, every human being with a penis has used "the book" on virtually every girl out there reading a BOOK.

I would say something along the lines of "i sometimes hate these pool chairs, they tangle up your swim suit in your butt crack, i'm sure you know what i mean" hahahaha imagine the look on her face.....

Not every human being with a penis has used "the book", gone into a ramble, dropped some bait, drew some interest, and then got a number/insta-date.

It's not about the goddamn book.

My mistake, i forgot the hordes of betas out there who will go right into complementing-mode, assuming they got the minerals to approach in the first place. Good point PDX.

One time I saw a girl lounging on her own at a hotel pool. I put my stuff down on the row behind her, walked up and said "hey, can you watch my stuff while I go to the bathroom?" When I walked back, I did a daygame/elderly type opener. She was vibing, so I sat down next to her and kept the conversation funny/flirty. My hook that got her back in my hotel room was that she was under 21, so I said "hey, I have beer in my room." Pretty easy.

i think the splash move could piss her off even though its playful. gio has a good point where sometimes just a hello is all that it takes.
