Note the person writing the letter is a female teacher.

Now imagine if that had been five guys de-trousering a girl during PE. I'm sure the reaction would have been more than a polite and lightly-worded letter home to the parents of people involved. I mean, 'successful in their aim'. Seriously? 'No malice behind the incident'? I bet they would have said malice was present if the gender roles were switched.

Then again I can bet you anything that the guy involved with a hapless beta.

I think this single incident is some sort of representation of how beta males in society are being metaphorically 'de-trousered' all over the world by gangs of women. Even when the girls are caught out, their fellow hamsters don't do anything about it. Because hey, all men are evil and he probably deserved it.

There should be an equal penalty for both men and women. Thy want equality, ok do here is equality. Same punishments and fines period.

This shit happens all the time. I just spent 10 minutes looking through my bookmarks for a story from a few months back where several high school girls attacked one 12-year-old boy, knocked him to the ground, and pulled off all his clothes. They were pulling on him and laughing at his body. They faced no charges. In the video, they had someone outraged, pointing out that if it were the reverse, not only would the guys have gotten into trouble, they would have faced serious time.

This is just another example of how women want to pretend to want equality, but continue to treat the faintest signs of male sexuality as threatening and dangerous. Guys comply every time they avert their eyes, call each other out for normal behavior, or white-knight.

Do you think women like to lord it over betas because they feel powerless around alphas?

I know this alpha/beta dichotomy isn't an absolute in social dynamics, but it does seem to be pretty important in the modern day.

I theorize that we may find an answer in Victorianism, which was more prevalent in the anglosphere than in other parts of the world (including the continental European societies that call the UK a neighbor). There has been a history here of putting women up on a pedestal and implying their inherent religious and moral supremacy over men, even during times when the traditional patriarchy was still quite firmly in place. Women were viewed as the morally and spiritually infallible guardians of the family, truth and the future of society, even if they weren't allowed to vote. The promotion of this trope may explain why they were often held to such strict moral standards-men had a vision of angels in their heads, and preferred their women comply.

Where this Victorian impulse in turn originated I'm not sure. Puritanism may provide a deeper root, but regardless I sense our modern penchant for white-knighting here can claim some descent from our Victorian roots.
Canadians, Americans and Australians generally imported British Victorian culture, creating the spread we see now.
