I have never been interested in reading books but i made a goal for my self to at least read 20 books this year( not on seduction). A few days ago I bought 5 books to get me started
which were
-Shit My Dad Says, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell,The 48 Laws Of Power,Walden and An African In Greenland

I've started reading The 48 Laws Of Power ,usually I do not care too much about reading but this book seems to have hit the perfect balance. I'm not done reading it yet but so far im impressed with what I've read. I do like to learn and I've discovered reading is making me a better conversationalist

So my question is what other interesting books have you guys read that you would recommend i should read.
Books that have helped you in your personal development or books that made you think the most and changed the way you see the world.

Any book that you personally think has made you the person you are today or had any influence in your life.

The hedonism handbook is also a great book that really changed my perspective on life. Its kind of comedy/parody/light reading but it holds some good points. It really changed the way i took life.

"The Prince", by Niccolò Machiavelli. Has many valid point on power and leadership.
Its known that Joseph Stalin read this book over and over.

Thomas Ligotti - Teatro Grottesco. Ligotti is probably one of the most underrated modern writers, some of his stories are a little too samey, but there still all good. Basically he writes "philosophical horror" which is extra creepy because it mirrors a lot of day to day activities, but with the strangeness of them ramped up to 11 (like if you were born inside a windowless and door-less office building where you had to spend all of your time filing papers that mysteriously appeared. Or if someone turned your town into a dictatorship with circus and carnival aesthetics). Any of the guys on here who are sick of the state of our world, or are nihilists, should check him out.

Chuck Palahniuk - Fight Club. This is pretty much a book every dude should read at least once.

Michael Chabon - Maps & Legends. Yeah Michael Chabon's pretty beta and gay, but both these books are pretty good at providing analogies that are easily understandable. Maps & Legends breaks down a lot of fiction and history and explains why it's important (which should also provide some extra reading material).

Steven King - On Writing. This book is both a great autobiography and it teaches a lot about the creative process.

Giacomo Casanova - Memoirs. I got these for free off Amazon, it was really cool to read about the adventures of one of the earliest (and my favorite) playboy, flagger, and all around cool dude.

Jack Donovan - No Man's Land. Once again free, it breaks down the essence of man and how to be one.

Robert E. Howard - Solomon Kane/Conan the Barbarian/Almuric. These are some great manly adventure stories, I'm not gonna lie I'm a huge nerd when it comes to 1930's pulp fiction and these are some of the best adventure stories out there.

Machiavelli's "The Discourses". His better-known book, "The Prince", is just a pamphlet. The Discourses are an easy read - it's a series of short essays on the histories of Titus Levy.

Micael Ende's "Mirror in the Mirror" and Edmund D Cohen's "The Mind of the Bible Believer" helps free me from christianity. More specific are Dennis R MacDonald's "The Homeric Epics and the Gospel of Mark" and Earl Doherty's "The Jesus Puzzle".

Wear a hoodie, go to a second-hand bookstore in another city, and buy a stack of romance novels. Redpill-o-rama. After a few, you see how identical they all are. I was inspired to do this after reading Darian Leader's "Why do women write more letters than they post"?

The original NLP stuff by Bandler and Grinder is interesting re PUA history: Reframing, Frogs into Princes, Trance Formations. Also the heavier "The Hypnotic Techniques of Milton Ericksonn", Vol I and II. But they are perhaps more relevant to seduction than you want. Remember that B&G's books are … well, not necessarily 100% truthful. I'm not actually calling them charlatans, but

Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is still a classic for good reason.

There are some respected books on dressing sharp for men, but I don't have specific recommendations.

I read extensively. Here are three very different ones, each of them have changed my life profoundly.

I have read many autobiographies. The first I ever read was the Autobiography of Andrew Carnegie. The book itself was a hundred years old and smelled like old library treasure. It was so gorgeous I used it as a conversation piece at coffee shops, even pre-game. Andrew Carnegie was a railroad tycoon who came to the US with absolutely nothing (indeed less than nothing) and remains to this day the richest man to ever have walked the earth.

If you are more interested in fiction, you would do well to consider Frank Herbert's Dune. It's a science fiction novel widely considered one of the greatest such works of all time. I loved it, and for reasons too numerous to enumerate here I think anyone in the pickup community would find it very enlightening.

The third work I suggest is The Story of O, authored under the penname Pauline Réage. It details a young woman's willing descent into sexual slavery. The prolific Roissy almost certainly took his name from the chateau there.

Read them and tell us which you enjoyed the most. We can go from there.

The Stranger by Albert Camus. Be careful though, it really made me think, and plummeted me into an existential crises lol, but it really could change the way you think especially if you haven't read a whole lot on existentialism. I would also reccomened "The Myth of Sisyphus" with this.

I also really like "The Courage to Be", by Paul Tillich, as it's been helping me get over existential anxiety and it's made me view the world, and the traditional notions about "God" and religion, radically different. It's kinda hard to read at parts, but if you read it really slowly, you'll get a lot out of it.

I would also suggest reading a few of the "Very Short Introduction" books to get started on the areas you're interested in, maybe like Philosophy, or Religion, or Politics, or the history of a country you might like.

And to balance MrWombat's suggestions, I would also suggest "The Jesus Legend", by Paul Rhodes Eddy and Greg Boyd, as well as Alvin Plantinga's "God and Other Minds", and "Knowledge of God". Also, N.T. Wright's "Resurrection of the Son of God". And, these guys aren't like televangelists are some bullshit like that, they got their doctorates from respected institutions (Plantinga from Yale, Wright from Oxford), and are respected in their fields.

Sorry to bombard you with books lmao, but there's just so much out there.

Can't believe no one said Animal Farm. Shows you what people turn into one they gain power. Also the Alchemist was one of the few books I saved up months to purchase. The thought of your own personal legend was amazing, but I read the book when I was really confused about what to do with my life and it really helped me break away from all the meaningless stuff I was doing.

Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe. It's one of the definitive American works of literature.

It begins with what I think is the greatest and most iconic epigraph of all time:
