Your budget of $2000 for two weeks of accomodation is more than enough in London. You get a place right in Central London for that much. If you have never been to the UK before then it doesn't make sense to skip London and go to a second tier city. Also London is probably one of the best cities for 7 nights a week of partying. It's a tourist city, so there is always something going on ever night of the week.

Having said that, you will still not bang as many drunk British chicks as you will if you went to one of those party hotspots. Maybe split it up with one week in London and another in Kos or Corfu or one of those party destinations.

On the budget: the 4K figure is the upper limit of what I want to spend; I would like to spend far less if possible. At the same time, I don't want to slum it. I want a big, beautiful, panty-dropping flat -- all to myself -- if I go to the UK, not some ramshackle "private room." Don't think I can achieve this in Central London on 2K, especially in the same month as the summer Olympics.
