That's it. I think the whole notch count as LTR barometer is overrated. Or rather, I think that there are enough other indicators that I don't even bother to ask what her number is. If you really care, then no number is going to be low enough.

I also tend to operate on a very drawn-out timeline for any relationship. I don't do the whole "dating" thing. If I meet a chick and we start banging, even if I really like her, I'm not really going to try and lock her down. I'm going to keep doing my thing. I won't even think about being exclusive with a chick until we're six months or so into it. In that time, I get a pretty good sense of whether she's LTR material, so I never really care about notch count. And f I ever take it to cohabitation or marriage, it's going to be with a chick I've been with for a few years. The other thing is that I'm never going to be the one pushing for the relationship. So, if a girl is a jaded cock-hound, incapable of really loving a man, then we're never going to get to a point where she can do anything that's going to really bother me.

Bottom line, the average dude looking for a trustworthy girlfriend and an eventual wide should definitely be wary of high notch counts. There's a lot or "reformed" sluts who think that a nice guy can help them change their past ways and get them to respectability. Those relationships are probably doomed. For me though, bring it on. If she can make it through my vetting process, she's fine.
