women? I know guys around here like to say things like "women are innately attracted to alpha men" and "being a slut is detrimental to women" and while I believe a lot of these things, I've noticed a startling lack of sources and research that confirms these things.

I've seen a few graphs floating around, but that's about it. Anyone who has interesting research papers or data about women, the effects of sleeping around, traditional family units, etc. please post them here. If I find anything interesting in my own personal searches I'll be sure to post the links here.

That graph showing more divorces per more sexual partners for women is famous in these parts. However it's a classic "correlation is not causation" canard. The type of women that have more partners are more likely to get restless and divorce. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are damaged by the partner count.

I personally have noticed "slut personality" in young, low count girls. They are adventurous and restless, no different at age 17 and virginal than they are at age 22 and with a notch count of 20. Not marriage material. Better to get a woman with the right personality and 4 partners than a slut in training aged 18 with a single past partner.

OP, why do you need a scientific study? I have definitely seen scientific studies proving a positive correlation between # of sexual partners and divorce rates for women, but why do you need a scientific study? Some things you can just figure out with common sense.

Have you ever been around a slut? Do you not notice the slut vibes she puts out?

Even a woman who has "only" had a few casual sex partners still puts out a different vibe than a truly chaste woman.

I have had close female family members (one in particular) whose "vibe" (for lack of a better term) completely changed after she lost her virginity to her boyfriend. In my view, female sexual promiscuity is more a symptom of mental problems than the cause.

OP has a point when it comes to finding "legitimate" research. This is probably because modern day academia was built on the same secular ideas and degenerate behavior that a lot of women embrace. Academia is slow to shoot themselves in the foot by admitting certain aspects of sexual liberation harmed western culture.

Roosh has talked about the hedonic treadmill/adaptation. It's a real thing and it applies to both genders and isn't limited to sex.

It's human nature to gradually habituate to anything you do frequently. It can dull your sense of enjoyment (i.e. 1000 cock stare) but also causes you to feel less guilt or shame in behavior that isn't generally socially acceptable.

Speaking as someone in my mid 40s, it does become increasingly difficult as you get older to maintain a sense of wonder with life and what it has to offer after you've already been there, done that.
