Nice quote. Oscar Wilde nails it every time.

RE: What Game Did Your Dad Use on Your Mom?
It's obviously subjective, but I'd consider my dad pretty alpha.

Back in the day he was a surfer, back before all that beach blanket bingo bullshit started. Spent most of his time smoking weed, surfing, and was in a weightlifting club.

Eventually started his own business where my mom got a job and that was that. They had me and divorced shortly after.

She once told me, "We were on a vacation in Florida and walking on the beach, but he insisted on walking like 20 feet ahead of me and pretty much ignored me."

Yeah, pretty sure that constitutes Dick Game.

Knowing my dad, I doubt he used game on my mom. I mean he taught me nothing about getting women, I had to learn all this shit myself.

my parents met in youth group. Apparently my mom helped my dad "become confident", cause I guess before their relationship he wasn't. overbearing mom, chode dad.

RE: What Game Did Your Dad Use on Your Mom?
My mom traveled/worked in the foreign country where my dad grew up and was studying. In that country my mom was exotic (and cute to pretty depending), but she learned the language very well. My dad is a decent to good looking guy (he gets more compliments from all the females I know that have met him than I do and he's decades my senior), but was smart and doing cool work that kept him outdoors (very much a manly man in that sense) but didn't make tons of money and while he was a nice guy, that went over well in his country and with my mom's more traditional values.

My mom's whole family traveled FAR to my dad's country for the wedding, then they moved back to the US and eventually had me. My dad has always had somewhat of a temper and hard time living in this country. I think this has pissed him off and because of not making more money than my mom (more years than not) he has become more bitter and more beta over the years (not that I would've ever called him super alpha). He is still a big man in my eyes, despite this and his other shortcomings.

No pun intended, but my dad was and still is 3-4 inches shorter than my mom. I never really thought of it that way but for him to marry her in his country must've been quite a feat in the eyes of his countrymen. Of course, she was in at least many regards chasing him I think, so he must've had some game. He didn't teach me any game to speak of. I think he thought much like his old country and never realized what game he had or at least how it affected the relationship positively.

Good question to pose, it's made me think on it quite a bit.

On the side note. According to my mum she only picked my dad because he had blue eyes which is VERY uncommon from where I come from. But then again he is half persian

RE: What Game Did Your Dad Use on Your Mom?
Dad was set up with my mom on a blind date by mutual friends. He forced the relationship along very quickly and proposed to her less than 2 years later on her birthday, despite signs she was not fully into it. She said NO citing, she "wanted to travel" before settling down.

Dad asks "why can't we travel together?" Did not receive a real reply. Mom "travels" by taking one or two short trips with her slutty girlfriend to nearby beach party locations. Icon_neutral

A few months later, she realizes that:
1. my dad is a caring, loyal guy
2. nothing better is going to come along

She comes back to apologize later with her tail between her legs, they get married, and they still are 30 years later. They definitely care about one another, but my mom nags constantly and oozes of resentment.

This emo kid probably can.

My mom told me the line my dad used on her to seal the deal. I'll never share it. It's worked 100% of the times I've used it on girls.

My dad used the "introduce me to your sister" game. He knew my aunt before he knew my mom.

It's probably different in your dad's case, but an Indian guy I used to work with explained why arranged marriages work:
1. You go into it with low expectations.
2. The parents of both kids know their kids well and have long discussions about how their kids match up and their expectations for their kids' spouse.
3. Once the deal is done, your families are going to support your marriage no matter what.
3a. Conversely, there is no familial or societal support for divorce.

The unspoken piece of that is that women in that culture fill a traditional wife role. He invited me to dinner one night. His wife, a very intelligent software engineer, waited on us hand and foot. She served us first and then sat down to eat. Deferential to her husband to a fault.

My mom and dad - Arranged marriage game. My mom still shit tests my dad. He fails all of them.

My friend got arranged and has an intelligent wife too. She's also in IT. Takes good care of the house, kids and him on top of her job. Admirable stuff.

Dad ran social circle game. He knew my mother's family through my grandfathers who both worked at one of the few places "coloreds," as they were called, were able to find decent employment before the Civil Rights era. It helps that my dad is tall, had good looks, and a good physique. My mother was a good catch as well being the hc queen at her high school. They banged, then came me then they married. They divorced a few years after.

My dad ran ultra beta game on my mom, who was a solid 5 at the time. I've seen her yearbook photographs. He still lies about what a "fox" she was.

They're still together 30 years later.

Charming dork game most likely. Pretty much my exact same game. I had a girlfriend tell me once that my father and me flirt the same way. We both got douchier as we aged which consequently helped make us better with women.
