Recently, I got cockblocked by my dad, of all people!

I want to write up a long explanation for this recent cock blocking but I can't decide just what amount is actually relevant. Basically got a bunch of friends out for the beach, I had invited a chick I was seeing and after the beach we all go drinking. My Korean buddy went nuts when he found the restaurant we went to had soju(korean rice wine) on the all you can drink menu.

Him and I drink about 5 bottles together on top of everything else we had been drinking. Then we go to a shisha/hookah bar to chill out before we all go home. Apparently at some point in the night, another friend of mine had taken it upon himself to tell the girl I had brought that I play around a lot. Which of course made her double down on her defenses.

I always pegged this dude to be a stand-up buddy. Disappointing.

I was walking home from a friend's house last night and I decided to pop into a bar just before closing to see what was going on. A girl walking towards me stops dead in her tracks and plants herself right in front of me. She's way into me getting very touchy, face close to my face, telling me I look good.

Her sister emerges as an obvious cockblock threat. She wants to take a picture and the girl puts one arm around my neck and the sister makes her take it down. Whatever. The whole crew is giving me nasty looks. I'm not liking the vibe at all so I tell the girl I'm walking home and she can join me if she wants.

I walk out and she's right behind me. Great. We make it about a block down the road before the sister appears out of nowhere and grabs her and says "we're all walking this way."

Instead of coming back with the obvious response (which I thought of 10 seconds later) "Well we're walking this way" I just glared at the sister. This was a new situation for me and I admit I was unprepared for this level of audacious bullshit and too stunned to reply.

I'm annoyed at the sister (while respecting her stealthy pursuit skills), but more so at myself. I've been cockblocked before, but never at the point where it was basically a done deal. I was looking forward to getting a bang with absolutely zero effort or money spent, but at least I've learned a lesson for next time.

I just got back to the US after some time in Asia a couple of months ago. I had a contact at my alma mater for a nice frat party. A couple of hours in, the party runs out of beer so I go across the street to pick up my own. When I come back, this ok blonde notices it and asks to drink with me. I say yes, we're vibing, making out in the party, I show my assertiveness by taking her hand and leading her to a different room where we smoke hookah.

I tell my friends to go without me because my strategy was to take an Uber back to the college together. This worked for me a lot in the Philippines where I say if my friends leave and I have no ride while I get along with the girl, she's usually willing to go with me. I even try to set her friends up with one of my friends at the party to keep them busy.

Well, my friends and her friends are not digging each other after they ask to meet guys, and this gay dude that's friends with the three chicks pops out of no where when I try to take my girl out. He basically rounds them together and tells the girl we're going back in Uber together. I spend five minutes trying to convince my girl to just take the Uber with me, and I try to sell that if I don't go with her, I'm going to be stranded there because my friends already left.

Fag gave no fucks and not only swooped the girl away, but after trying to promise an Uber for me, left me stranded in the damn place after taking the gamble to wait for the girl. I know this is usually not the best way to go in America, but I was assuming the chick was so into me and because we were both coming from the same college, she'd be willing to go back with me.

I swear to god I was fuming with that dude. The girl wasn't even all that, I just get very hot headed when someone blatantly cock blocks like that. I basically was very close to punching him in the face just because I thought he was a douche. Gay guys are usually great wingmen for me too, but this dude was terrible.

After that, I luckily had a friend to order an Uber for me about 30 minutes later, but I think my drunk self was ranting on the phone to him about how I banged so many girls in the Philippines and then I had to come back to the US and deal with this shit. Funny part is college guy next to me heard that and was jaw-dropped at the number I said. He didn't believe me but I assured him it was true. So PSAD, scarcity complex, and alcohol combined got the best of me here.

I'm unearthing this old thread to make the following statement: When we all grow old and wrinkled, women will still be cockblocking in the nursing homes.

I'm now at the point where my old friends and I are middle-aged. I know that seems ancient to some of you.

But, fear not! Because people don't change. The same catty, immature women you knew at 23, will be catty and immature at 49. Except they won't be as cute. So, you have that to look forward to.

I don't want to get into details, but no matter how old women get or how happily married they are, they are completely unwilling to connect their single friends (or, in my case, their single sister) with any guy.

What makes this doubly ironic is that I'm actually held in high esteem by this cockblocker and her family since I once wrote newspaper articles about her back when I knew her sister. And even I got brushed off.

Seriously, no one grows up and no one learns. Maybe this is the life lesson we all need.
