Meetup happened today I met:

Al Czervik
Clean_Slate
Tejas_Rojos
WIA: Extremely positive and outgoing guy. Got the place livened up and as always lived up the golden advice he gives out on the forum. As always a bit of a shock to see forum members in person.
Al: outgoing guy who has his lifestyle together and definitely friendly guy. Would like to hear more about his travels abroad.
Clean: soft spoken kind of guy listens intently. Should definitely absorb game info fast.
Tejas: Enlightened me on a fast way to get residency in certain countries. Definitely knowledgable and should post more.
Positive experience as usual. Definitely down for another meetup.

Spot on. I enjoyed meeting all of these guys as well as Farmageddon. Hopefully we can do it again.

Of course living up to expectations is usually a non issue as they have always done so but putting a face to a name is always one of those shocking moments. It's like having a mental image of someone's appearance and voice then meeting up with them completely blows it away. Then I start reading the forum with X person's voice after I meet up with them in person. I thought WIA was the type sitting in an office in a skyscraper doling out advice in a serious way custom suited up. In person he was probably one of the most laid back and outgoing people I've met. Just one of those moments.

Alright a bit more sober, but I guess I'll elaborate on this. He's probably the most fun person I've drank with in a while(think the usual college jarheads I'm drinking with). Reminds me of my own gramps in terms of the hardcore military attitude. Could also keep it classy and ask for a cigarette without interrupting the mojo between me and the chick I opened. I didn't expect to drink at all when I got up to meet him so I pregamed a bit, but my low alcohol tolerance after some vodka made it more than enough. Reps the military hard, not a bad person to drink with, and I had a good time. You may not agree with him, he may troll you, but if you are ever on good terms sharing drinks with him is always good.

Side note: it was Tito's Handmade Vodka from a Texas local microdistillery which was pretty damned good.

No, but there are some smart strategies if you want to make the best of them.
