I think that's about it. I was supposed to meet some cats in Lisbon and Playa del Carmen but bad timing/logistics prevented that from happening.

Had a good talk with Menace, very friendly and solid guy. we went to Brixtons on U street, had a few beers at the second floor bar and after a while we both saw a signboard saying it was a (believe it or not) Human rights meeting for gay,lesbians and transgenders that night (!?) very funny. we joked about how I would get lynched there if they found out about my book.

Later Hencredible Casanova (HC) walked in. Big dude. Cool guy to hang with. We all went upstairs where there was some kind of mixer going on. Quite a few nice looking girls there. No real stunners but very bangable overall. HC is an easy approacher/opener whereas I always need to warm up a bit.
I approached a Chinese 7 and she was very much interested. Had a long talk with her. HC joined for a brief moment and when asked how we know each other,he said that we were twins. Very funny since he a giant black dude. As said the girl was interested but her cockblocking gf showed up and messed things up. The Chinese girl asked me to meet again but I was only there for one night so that didn't happen. I gauged if she was willing to take me home but she wasn't that kind of girl she said. Got her facebook and we said goodbye.
HC introduced me to a tall black girl. She was also interested and asked me to meet up again but again I was cockblocked by only staying one night. Can't be bothered too much though. I'll have all the time I want in LA to date girls so not worried about that at all. HC and me joked around with some girls and later said our goodbyes.

Overall a good night.

Haha that LGBT event was a big surprise. I think that's why I perspired until we got up to the rooftop. It was good to finally meet Menace since he's also DC-based. Agreed that the Hinge event had above average talent. I met the CEO and his staff later and learned they are all good friends with one of my boys who has written about them. Small world.

I think the Chinese chick Neil was talking to was above a 7 from what I could tell. She was definitely into him. Neil would have wrapped up some prospects if he had more time in DC. I could see him doing well here. The notion that he's limited to "backpacker game" is flawed. He's actually a well-rounded guy.

That DTF blonde Texas chick I approached with Neil has been texting me. She was nice and number closed me. We got plans to meetup next week. Remember when I told her I was Dutch as well? She still thinks so lol. Going to take that as far as I can.

I'm also trying to close a Russian chick I met there which I'm less optimistic about. I need to learn that language. I've been meeting cute Russian chicks more and more often now. That was the case in NYC too.

Then there's a bartender who told me her schedule and said to come by near last call lol. She wasn't that hot though so that will be a gametime decision if anything.

All in all a good time. I have pulled from Brixton before but there has also been times where it's been completely dead. Either way, this is one of the best times (target wise) to be in DC so there should be a lot going on this weekend. In fact, the Jazz Garden thing is today.

The reason for this is because I never know which approach will lead to a bang. I never assume anything or take anything for granted. Unless a girl looks at you and says something to the effect of "do not talk to me," she is ripe for an approach. You guys saw how a few of my approaches led to nothing. But had I not approached I would have never known what the outcome would be. Those first two girls for example, they seemed single, but one was the fiance of the Hinge founder who was also there, and the other had a boyfriend in San Francisco she was going to move in with that week. However, the signals I was getting during the conversation didn't lead me to think they were taken, so it goes both ways. You just never know.

Two months ago in Scottsdale I approached a 2-set alone and got nowhere with the initial girl I wanted and then hit on her friend right in front of her and got the bang that night! Conventional wisdom would say that's nearly impossible, but without trying you never know.

I also don't wait for an IOI to make an approach. There have been many bangs where I had to make the approach without an IOI being directed at me.

Yep, that Chinese girl was definitely in to me. If only I had more time in DC. I've had this problem all over the world. Lots of maybees if I stayed longer but I couldn't hang around and risk losing time and money over a maybe. A couple of times a maybe resulted in a no and you learn quick from this.

I met up with thedude3737 on Friday night. He rolled up in a car that would be an insta-lay machine in my country. He was quite humble about it though. We went half across town to a high end club. The taxi and limos in front kept unloading group after group of 8's and even 9's. There were only a few 7's around. I would have gladly hooked up with any girl inside even the sporadic 6's which were 7's with a 15 extra pounds.

Let me be clear about one thing. I am not used to this. In my city back home you might be lucky to see one or two of these girls but in there it was the standard.

Thedude3737's buddy sneaked us in past the line which was great since me, the dumbass, forgot his ID card. (not used to that either) we didn't have to wait and walked right in like we're some vip's. His buddy hooked us up with free drinks all night.

My game was below par. I was pretty overwhelmed with this kind of setting. I think I'm in for a rough time in LA. I think I either have to lie which I hate to do or play cool broke adventurous guy game. I decided to go with the last one since I have lots of experience with this. I might have to get used to the superficial attitude here.

I'd say that was a pretty good first taste of L.A. for you.

For anyone wondering, I drive an '08 altima coupe with leather interior. If that's all it takes to get laid in Holland...ha!

The talent was pretty goddamn high even by L.A. standards. As is the case in the city, occasionally there's a "right time, right place" element to finding high concentrations of hotties.

High aggression is certainly required in a venue like that, something I still struggle with. Like I said in the L.A. board, I'm gonna head back there and see if I can make more progress.

I totally forgot about those black behemoths. They would have torn you to pieces and I'm sure they wanted to. Again, typical downtown scene. Cool bars, great places to hang out, but sparse talent. That girl you approached was married if I recall correctly and that one other cutie was surrounded by a protective barrier of friends and other dudes like she was a diamond in the rough.

All in all, 8/10 would hang again.

Hung with mousetrap and samseau and met Roosh, VK, and a few others at the DC meetup last year. Good times. Samseau's got a lot of energy, I'm a bit envious since I tend to play more of a MIMITW type and it's a hard role for when you're gunning 18-20 year olds. Shame he's not closer to DC.

Since then I cut my hair, lost about 10 pounds of fat, put it back on as muscle, and have been gradually cleaning up my game.

Just rolled out with Neil Skywalker tonight and bar-hopped around downtown. Cool guy. It was pretty brutal out tonight and none of the approaches either of us were doing were hooking. We came up with a routine where we would open by having the girl's guess where Neil is from based on his accent. Glad Neil is getting to see first hand how tough L.A. is and how pervasive the cockblocking is. Everyone knows we aren't just bitching for nothing out here.
