The ad I saw while trolling pof for sluts said it's marketed to women who are sick of creepy messages.

Guys, I have a pic of a celeb that's incognito on my fake profile right now and got one message from some fat girl in a week and three views. Girls on pof don't browse much they just open the inbox and start deleting. I assume every dude on there sends every girl a message. I would never invest in a site like HerWay. It's doomed to failure. It has the fundamental flaw of taking what women say at face value. When a woman says, "I hate normal dating sites. I get way too many emails and almost all of them are from losers," what she really means is, "I love normal dating sites. All these emails boost my self-esteem and I get the added value of rejecting losers."

This site, herway.com is brand new. It doesn't have many members yet so obviously you aren't going to get many replies.


However, if in 6 months time herway is a flop, then yes we'll know that the types of girls who use internet dating are only attention whores. In which case, it will validate my choice not to date girls over the internet because they have major issues.

I agree man, without getting thousands of emails from hundreds of different guys then the whole "appeal" for women to be on dating sites goes away. I wonder honestly how many people are actually looking for something serious when they sign up for those?

I don't see it as emasculation at all. I compare it to passive income...you set up a website, let it run on its own and if it brings you in some money then great and if it doesn't no big deal. Create a profile, let it sit, and if it brings a few girls to your door then great and it not then no loss. On top of that, you have already won half the battle since the girls actively picked and pursued you.

You are right that it's a very low-risk, low-effort site for men. An hour or so spent coming up with a great profile may bring a few bites your way. The problem is that, while men approach both up and down, women almost never approach down. And that means that all the women that message you will likely be below the threshold that you find attractive.

If you are conventionally good-looking, tall, and looking for women of your own race, then you may get a fair amount of girls who pass your boner test. But if you're all those things, you're probably cleaning up on regular dating sites already.
