From my experience, people who make a little money talk about it. Those who are wealthy don't even mention it. I'm in the middle east, and a buddy of mine, his family is über wealthy,and he's a normal dude. We never talk about money. Now, other buddies of mine, making peanuts in comparison, talking about $ are Mickey mouse IMHO.

As for dropping everything, well what are your limits and lifestyle. Ask yourself what you can and cannot live with. Have an open mind and realize that you won't be changing the locals' mentality even if they are backwards thinking. Take it day by day and accept it as it s. life will be much more enjoyable.

I agree entirely with your post, believe the adjustment makes sense, however to keep on topic it's more of a what kind of liquidity do u need to not have to worry about living in say east Europe making money that basically only covers living expenses.

Yes, job is with family...Not Big Law though. Pays better than big law because I get to keep all of my billing beyond overhead/ expenses.

It depends on how long you want to travel for, where you want to travel, what your family/ kid situation is and as the person before said what you can and can't live without. I'd love to move abroad permanently but I find I miss my family a lot after being away for more than a month or 2. Going to the other end of the world to start a new life just probably wouldn't work for me. One thing I've always thought would be a good idea is to work near a place you love to travel. For example if you love Colombia work in Miami and take advantage of the cheap short flights. You can fly down on weekends and perhaps get down once a month which would probably cure the travel bug for most people.

Money = dunno yet my travel experience is paltry compared to most here

Realestate people. Not flipping houses either, renting them. Its not a quik fix im glad i got into it at a early age. Buy a house an rent it to someone, they make the house payment an then some with the monthly rent. Once its paid for its money in your pocket every month for the rest of your life as long as you own the house. Now i have someone watch over my houses and put the rent checks in my bank account an travel the world an do whatever i want. I have about $2000 a month i can spend safely with out cutting my account short incase i need money for one of the houses.

Once i find the place abroad i want to call home i would like to get a job teaching english or washing dishes i really dont care. Just something, cause trying to find enough shit to do during the day to make it productive everyday is a losing battle.

There are a lot of things that you can do to occupy your time. Learn a martial art, learn how to cook new recipes, learn programming and try to create a new source of income (online), learn a new language, etc.

I have a guaranteed source of income for life which is 900 dollars per month (plus some savings), i probably could move to a country that i like now and live there an ok life, but i will get bored after a while if i have to be stucked in one country and live an average life where my choices are quiet limited,for now, im just going to be taking short trips to my favourite countries and focusing in multiplying my businesses income. I want a life where i dont have limits in my choices (im thinking 100k dollars per month) but i also dont want to sacrifice too much my now. But for guys who never done travelling for too long, let me tell you, that yes, it becomes boring after two months even when you are sleeping with the hottest women in the world. You will need something else to challenge you.

Being bored when travelling is difficult IME. There are always a few hours of my day where there's nothing really to do and it's too hot outside to be bothered to do much anyway but usually at night there's mischeif to be had, people to meet, girls to be seduced. I'm not bored for too long.

I get bored on the road if I'm not working. As good as laying on a beach and cashing checks sounds, at least while I'm young I want to be doing something that is a challenge and makes use of my god-given talents.

Instead of concentrating on building a sum of money to live off, I'm more interested in developing a career/trade that will let me go to exotic locations to work.

I would not recommend it. Life is always greener on the other side but as someone who has lived abroad I can tell you that traveling for poon is not worth it. You are better off upgrading your life where you are to improve your chances.

I'm vehemently against the "save up money and spend it abroad" model. Save up $200,000 then go live abroad and you'll drastically cut down your net worth. $2,000 is pretty solid...(depends how much you travel and how well you will be living). But I recommend at least $3,000... which is definitely feasible.

I don't get how people like you complain about American women for not being able to get laid and at the same time keep calling them sluts. If they have ADD, why can't you use their sluttiness to get laid so you don't have to go anywhere?

Isn't that a big contradiction? Instead of calling them sluts why don't you call them prudes? That's probably why they don't put out in the first place, because guys like you are quick to call them sluts if they do.

There are a lot of things you can do, but how many things are you likely to end up doing depends on your motivation. If you are in a pussy paradise with the sun beating down on your neck, it can be hard to motivate yourself to do anything that what is needed to sustain your lifestyle. I already feel like a millionaire even though I don't earn that much.

I had grand ideas coming to this country, I said I would learn the language, travel around the country, get involved in charity work etc. But to be honest lately my lifestyle resolves around working very little, banging women and going to the gym. But granted not everyone is as lazy as me.

Yes living off $900 a month in some far off land is a waste of the person you are in my opinion, unless you are doing something else constructive.

100K a month???, I am concentrating on making that per year on a residual basis, when I achieve that then basically I am rich. I can afford to travel where I want, stay where I want, enough to snag a beautiful girlfriend, have a nice house

chamele0n. Well, first of all I'm not American and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I've particularly singled out American women. But I will say that probably some of the worst girls I've had, had in some way or antother spent a considerable amount of time in the US or had som kind of connection to that country.

Second, even with minimal level of game I have no problem getting laid in my home country. Rather than complaining about not getting laid, what I do bitch about are the characteristics enumerated above of many though not all Western girls. Another thing they often have in common is claiming to want a "nice guy", totally contradicted by their behaviour. I could go on. I'm not into game to have sex with sluts as I see no pride or value in being with a girl who've slept around with half the neighborhood, so I see few advantages with their personalities.

For the record, I think every girl has the right to decide for themselves of course. And it is true that in some cases they can put added pressure on girls in relationships to put out but that does not change the fact that they are unfit as girlfriends themselves.

As for the question in the OP, I next hope to do longer trips to Brazil and the FSU/EE. I will budget for about 2000 euros per month (perhaps a bit less). I will spend the summer to save up the money and hopefully I can find a way to generate an extra income of € 1000 per month, then I can leave earlier with only half the amount saved up.
