I guess my point was really that it was the condoms that have helped you out. I guess I just don't buy the fact that washing is stopping you from catching anything. Even if you were having sex with a girl who has an STD multiple times without protection it doesn't mean you'll become infected. No STDs have a 100% transmission rate. On top of that there are a few that remain practically without any kind of symptoms.

As I stated in my post, condoms are a must, but cleaning your junk is also beneficial. Cleaning your junk helps lower the risk of Herpes and HPV, which are both viruses that are passed by skin to skin contact. There were studies done in both WW1 and WW2 (before condoms were popular) which showed that genital cleaning after sex lowered the frequency of STDs.

Besides, wouldn't you want to wash your balls after some chick's spit and/or pussy juicy was covering it? Maybe I was brought up in an overly clean household, but it seems like common sense to me.

That is not propaganda. The skin on the penis is paper thin. That's all well and good. I always take condoms out with me too, several of them. If I think I might get laid I even leave a couple lying on top of the chest of drawers right next to my bed so I see them when I get into bed with a girl. Doesn't mean I always use them. I hate condoms. To me, wearing a condom during sex is like eating candy with the wrapper still on.

However- STDs are a real threat, especially outside of rich Western countries, but you have to live your life.

Really the best thing is to mathematically minimize the risk/pleasure ratio. I have found this formula works for me:

-Condoms every time for a new lay (I flush the condom)
-Rawdogging only when a girl becomes a frequent lay and you are aware of her reputation
-Washing with soap and hot water immediately after... EVERY Time
-Hep B vaccine and good titer check (Hep B is extremely common in mainland Asia)

I am interested in getting the GARDASIL vaccine, which protects against certain strains of HPV. Thus far, it is only recommended for certain age groups, but if you are willing to pay out of pocket you may be able to get it yourself.

The reason it's only good for certain age groups is because its assumed you would have already come in contact with it atleast thats my understanding. Getting stds is a part of playing the field. Your going to get them. People may claim to sleep with hundreds or even thousands of people and to have a penis of steel that is uninfectable but likely they just have contracted forms of hpv and other stds such as herpes have been dormant/ without outbreaks.

I use intuition and walking the side of caution to help in avoiding STD's. There's things girls do that "scare the cat" for me. If she trips one of these alarms, I'll bail on the sex. And I'm not gonna fuck a girl with a condom if I think she has something. Better safe than sorry.
