Apparently, there's a lot of dudes out there with a porn addiction, or ED that's porn related. All these guys on this website talk about quitting porn and jerking it and finding out that their libidos literally explode.

I sorta think that the reason why there's so many women out there for the alpha type dudes to pick up is because there's a shortage of sexually available/easy beta providers. Society is definitely fucking those dudes.

Apparently porn addiction can also be cured through quitting porn entirely and "rebooting". There's a huge number of withdrawal symptoms and lots of benefits to quitting.
I have resolved to quit both masturbation and porn until I notice a difference, which they say can take weeks.

My withdrawal symptom is finding women attractive again.

When you're jerking every day, or multiple times a day, women still look good but you don't have this deep biological urge to impregnate them.

When its been 4-5 days since I looked at any porn or wanked, it goes into overload. I couldn't help but keep kissing this great looking chick last night. I just keep staring into her eyes. She definitely was digging me.

Its always been my opinion that quitting porn will either help you or hurt you. It really depends on the person. If you've got your shit together, but you just lack a strong urge to approach, do kino, or close, quitting entirely or only doing it once a week should pay heavy dividends. If you're nervous/awkward already around women, don't have problems with initiative i.e you're a poor sap who wants to get laid badly but doesn't have much looks/game/style, I think quitting porn would be a horrible idea.

I've only gone at most 5-6 days. Its clear that things change a lot, as looking at porn when you finally do, its 100x hotter. Its amazing how much can change in just a few days.

I jerk off regularly once or twice a day. When I come into contact with an actual girl I'm attracted to, however, I have absolutely no problem maintaining my (rather primordial) urge to impregnate them. That urge is strong enough that I wrote about it here. Porn hasn't really raised my standards either-if anything, I'm a bit more likely to lower them while viewing porn so long as a few other factors are present.

I feel for guys who derive these issues from porn, but I can't understand where they're coming from. Perhaps I'm unique, but it just hasn't caused the same issues for me as it has for them.
Then again, I don't watch a lot of mainstream American porn (read: produced in LA, hot but fake contract models, big cameras/sets/etc). That could make a difference.

I will add that there is one definite downside: you WILL come quickly.

For me personally its not a big deal. Sometimes I literally have zero refractory period. If the girl is hot and you haven't jerked it in 6 days, I have no problem pumping away.

Another possible way around this would be to quickly rub one out in the bathroom once the chick is at your place.

How old are you? That could make a difference, as it never was a problem in college for me.

I'm in my upper 20s now. And yes, I watch the fake stuff with the perfect 10s!

I argue abstaining from porn is only healthy if you already have some sort of rotation. It takes whatever level you're at and can make you a little more aggressive. You're more sexual aware (in regards to yourself and women).

To those guys who think it'll "cure" AA, they are largely mistaken.

In college right now.

While age is obviously going to be a factor, moving away from the less organic mainstream productions should help you to. This doesn't mean go watch BBW porn, but it does mean check out some more amateur/semi-pro stuff. It is a lot easier to get it up for the average non-plastic, cute but not perfect/super-freaky 6-8 walking down the street when they're all you watch most of the time anyway.

It'll also help with some of the unrealistic dick size expectations guys get from porn. Watch enough foreign/amateur stuff, and you'll never get the impression that a) 7+ inches of dick is the norm and b) you need at least that much (preferably more) to please a girl.

The main problem with addiction is that some people are destined to have an addiction. Their brain is just wired this way. This is why the majority of people cannot cure an addiction by simply getting rid of it, they need another addiction instead, hopefully less harmless. And porn is pretty harmless addiction, with calluses being the worst consequence.
