Those people who complain about filipino food arent meat lovers or think they only fry their meat. Just find one of the many places that roast or grill chicken, pork and fish, and you will be delighted by how savory and juicy they prepare them. This week had roasted pork, chicken, tuna and tilapia with rice and chop suey. What a delight. When i go to Vietnam, Ill miss the smell of the delicious roasted meats in the Phils.

What kills me is no one on these threads has mentioned buko juice. Stuff is amazing, and the Phils is famous for it. I buy the shit stuff in a can back home to offset hangovers. It works too.

I am sure that in countries like the Philipinnes the western man wins hands down based on his appearance solely.There you have to date down there is no way the local women will be a match for western man.This is no Slavic or western Europe.What is interesting is how Balkan power will fare there.I am not sure what the boundaries in Asian countries are whether the locals will freak out by brute power like the Russians display or not.Maybe Thailand a country where lots of Russians vacate offers a good example of what is acceptable or not.

And that's really good! The one thing I didn't miss at all in Philippines was a bunch of drunk Brits and Russians hanging around which I saw so often in Thailand.

i could say i just came here from China (which is true) an i told my friend in China that Filipinas are way hotter the Chinese girls and he doesnt belive me so i just need a pic of them for proof

I dunno i was pretty dissapointed in the quality from the dating websites, but im very pleased with the quality you see walking around

Has anyone been boxing in the Phils? Where would I go there? Did some research but looks like, counter-intuitively, there are not many gyms around.

If possible I would like to stay out of the worst areas (where the gyms seem to be).

I was under the impression that western boxing was big in the Phils, but I have not been personally so I could be wrong.

Jiu Jitsu and MMA is getting big in the Phils. Quite a few black belt schools and a few MMA teams if you are interested in that. Most are located in Manila and Cebu.

Considering one of the most well known boxers in the world in Manny Pacquiao is Filipino this would be no surprise. He is probably the most popular Filipino alive today. Gets rock star treatment in his country so many would probably want to emulate him

Yeah definitely interested in MMA/grappling, but would like to focus on my boxing for a while as it is the aspect that's lacking the most in my overall game at the moment.

I think they all watch boxing, but not too many people actually train (it's not like Muay Thai in Thailand). Will do some more research...

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the boxing gyms don't have websites, either. Asking on the forum is probably your best best. I don't think it's like Thailand where lots of MT gyms have websites because in the Phils, I doubt many foreigners are going there specifically to train boxing.

You may want to email DEFTAC Manila as they are one of the bigger MMA teams there so they might have boxing at the gym, or be able to tell you where their fighters train boxing at.

Let me know what you find, I'm curious.
