I read that article. Very surprised to see southern colleges at the top of the list. First off, it's not nearly as expensive to attend a southern school as some other private schools, but also, perhaps the average income of the parents in southern schools is much lower than with other private schools, so students are not getting as much help from mom and dad.

Main people to blame for this are the rich men who fund this kind of thing. THey could easily just get the same results by offering to buy a fancy meal or two, maybe a trip, but with straight cash deposits "for tuition", then they are gassing up the egos of these chicks way, way too much, and simultaneously corrupting them and causing inflation for this kind of thing.
