Any good books or websites for moving out of the USA?
Hey guys, I'm interested in moving out of the country (USA). I'm pretty much tired of the rat race and I'm planning to move to a country that has nice weather and plenty of young women who dig Gringos like myself.

Also, the economy in this country (USA) is getting worse and as some of my friends have told me, theres never been a better time to leave. I've been told the U.S. economy may even colapse in a few years (I read Crash Proof by Peter Schiff)

However, I'm pretty new to foreign countries, so I would like to know if any of you know any good websites or books I can read to help me learn more about opportunities abroad.

I'm especially interested in moving to a country in Asia or Latin America. (they are cheaper than Europe) Everyone seems to tell me that Brazil is the place to be but I heard it's also expensive.

I read a guide i purchased on retirement to latin america from this site:
http://www.retiretolatinamerica.blogspot.com

the book is pretty good, but i need to learn more. your suggestions will be appreciated

I think you can find a lot of information on here or expat websites.

Take some short trips first.

There is no better teacher than experience.

There are only so many books you can read about boxing.

At some point, you will have to lace on the gloves and step into the ring.

As for websites, try this one (Rooshvforum).
Check out the travel section
It's probably get some of the best info out there to point you in the right direction.

If I were you, i would definitely also give Colombia a serious consideration. I have been to Colombia and Brazil many times, and both places are good options. In fact, I guarantee you will meet several expats (Americans) living there and befriend them. I know a couple of Americans that live in Medellin and love it, and i know someone living in Rio.
Someone made a great point that the cost of living in Brazil will definitely be higher, especially if you live in a major city such as Rio, Sao Paulo, Brasilia, etc. This is in part to their economy which is doing pretty good due to World Cup, Olympics, and self sustainability. Here is a website for a few job ideas in Colombia:

It helps if you are bilingual in both of these countries to help find employment. Are you bilingual jimrogers?

Like gmanifesto said, you've just gotta get up and leave. Prior to my first trip out of the country I was really unsure about how I would finally make the big switch to living overseas. But once I actually got out there, I started making connections and slowly figured everything out.

Just do it. Go book a one way ticket!

I agree. Visa consulting, job help, etc. Most people need their hand held.
