I have to agree with oldnemesis. It's one thing to game a hot girl into your bed. It is another entirely to maintain her for the long run, and moreover, convince her to be the mother of your children when you are not only NOT offering marriage, but not even cohabitation. A hot girl will have many men offering her a better deal.

Yes, a woman can be head over heels in love, but that kind of ignore-all-practicalities sort of love does not last forever. After she has that baby, she will be different and what she wants from her man will change somewhat.

As someone who has had a couple of hiatuses from game during my lifetime to get into LTRs I must say that the type of game normally discussed on this board will not carry a relationship alone.

There's other types of game though that will make it work such as Major Mark and Ross Jeffries "Building a better girlfriend" which deals with illiciting a women's values and meeting them. I live in a situation not entirely unlike that. It does however require that you have your plans made from day one. And everything you do within that relationship has to conform to that plan.

I made this plan because I eventually want to get kids, and that is at the same time my leverage. How many guys on here are able to barter with such an item?

Unless you have some kind of leverage, a goal that you have committed with your partner or you are a rock star or hold major $$ I can not see any other way to make these scenarios work.

I got some friends that would do something similar. But, they married and had kids with their women. They made a commitment but still fucked around on the side when they went out with "friends".

I don't doubt that their wives would leave them if they found out and it kept happening. I don't see any woman staying with a guy forever unless marriage was on the tables. They may stay for a year or two but will leave for a guy who is willing to make a commitment.

Yeah, love can blind them but love changes over time. Normally after the 2 year mark that intense love feeling they have will change which is why you better have something else in common or kids to keep the relationship going. That is if you want it to keep going.

Women love that feeling and love the idea of getting married. Once that feeling ends then they will look for something else. That may be raising their kid, finding another man or both.

Nope. As I said, this is all about the value balance. Hugh Hefner has much more value than the chicks he lives with. This allows him to set the different rules for himself and for them - and they would accept it. Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi.

You don't even have to be Hugh Hefner to create the same situation. For example if you're a sugar daddy or a sponsor you can demand the chick should stay faithful to you while she could not demand anything like that from you. Or you can date an ugly/fat/old chick who knows no other guy like you would ever pay her any attention till the rest of her days.

It is a very easy formula. If your real value is much higher than hers you can have more leeway than her. If her real value is much higher than yours (an old rich chick getting herself a gigolo boy) then she can have more leeway than you. But if your value is similar - which is the case for the most people - you'll have to play by the same rules, either defined or implied.

I don't know him personally, but I would probably imagine he wants a family and traditional american life. He probably doesn't see the "decline of the american male" as much as most, as he's probably from a well-off family and probably makes an income way above most people on this board. The problem with marriage mostly exists for people in lower socioeconomic brackets. But I won't deny that it is creeping into the upper echelons of society. Also, his lifestyle is conducive to having a chick tag along to all these different countries. He teaches and tours around the world, so buying airline tickets to him is like filling up the gas tank for us.

Anyway, to get back on track. If I were to get married, I would take other factors besides physical attractiveness and femininity into account. Does she keep her place clean? Does she have an education? What is her family like? Do we vibe? Do we have the same values? What will she be like as a mother? Countless other factors besides being attracted to her. That might be what he did, too.

I gotta say, I've been there and done that, and I agree with most of what old nemesis says. It's like when I was in the NYC PUA scene and people would talk all this smack on the forums about how and what they would do and say. The reality is very different from the "ideas" people have.

I was a go to guy on the forums for mLTR's. What Sam says is true for short ish term relationships. Say less then 2 years. Hell, even with Hugh heff the girls leave him and move on after a few years. Ime women are ok with not getting married if you have a commitment, hell I have dated swingers, even when you are fucking other girls, swingers don't want you fucking other girls with out them.

A high value girl will not put up with that shit long term, no matter how tight your game is, or how well you fuck her. The only exception I see is if you really mind fuck her like some doms I know with Thier subs, but we are talking real mind fucking.

Here is the problem with the game, it will warp you, and tell you falling in love is being pussy whipped. Being in love is a great thing, having a great fulfilling relationship is wonderful. The most alpha, confident guys I know are married and in great relationships.

Here is the immaturity I see on the board, all the guys putting too much weight on looks, how hot is the girl Dave d married, how hot is the blond? I have fucked an incredible amount of women, some smoking hot, great lays, but at the end of the day I'll take a 7 with an amazing personality over a 9 that doesn't know what plethora means. Most of the the true connections I have had with women, were the 7-8's not the 9-10s I've fucked or dated.

Think of it this way, as a guy with tight game you have lots of options which is why its so hard to settle with just one woman, a woman who is her top 5% with all the qualities Sam mentioned is going to have 5 times the options of the guy on this board with the tightest game. Why would she settle for less then what she wants? She won't ime. At least in the USA.

I see a lot of immaturity on these boards. Some of these guys just make themselves look bad and lose credibility as a result of it. On that point, we agree.

Where we disagree. What if you don't want to become the person a woman wants you to change into? What if your vision of the good life is fundamentally different from hers? What then? Talk to married Western men today. Notice how they have to change for her, but she can be whatever she wants.

12 years younger than you can be significant or minor depending on how old you are. I find as I get older the age difference where we still can relate gets larger.

This is a pretty abstract situation. Anyways, I'm not interested in LTRing a top 5% chick, only one that is very attractive and younger than me so arguing about this is pretty pointless.
