I will answer the OP's question on whether money will get you laid like a rockstar in the 3rd world.

Yes, HOWEVER, your experience will be VERY different depending on how you use your money.

If you just roll into a Latin American country flashing cash but with ZERO LANGUAGE SKILLS and no knowledge of the social scene, you will STILL GET LAID. However, it will be almost exclusively with hookers/prepagos/semi-pros or whatever you want to call them, they are still prostitutes.

If you want to use your money to bang QUALITY NON-HOOKERS you can, but it takes more skill. The key is to project STABILITY. Only hookers want to be some rich dude's pump and dump fuck toy for the night/week. If you project stability and show that you have some roots/staying power in the community, you will be flooded with HIGH QUALITY pussy that other gringos are not getting.

A fancy hotel room projects "rich guy blowing his money on vacation". A nice apartment or condo projects "well of guy who LIVES here". The latter is VASTLY more appealing to non-hookers. I'm pretty much a nomad, so I live wherever my ass is at the time, but most of my non-US time is spent in Costa Rica, and to a much lesser extent Colombia and the Dominican Republic a few years back.

There is a lot of wisdom in this post , I am starting to experiment with Apartments/Condos myself and will see how that goes compared to atleast a 4 Star Hotel, Only problem is my trips are very short 2-4 days only......
