Shinichi Osawa is coming out with a new EP, Breaking Through the Night. It's pretty badass so far - really good electro.

RE: The Electro Music Thread
One of the best "youtube DJs" out there is Dj3P51LON. Was jamming to this in the car today:

There is new video uploaded almost every week, some of the best mixes I've ever heard, tracklists are included, great way to discover new artists.

Lots of pics of hot bishes included, which is always a plus.

Santi Taos is great too. Unfortunately a lot of his videos seem to have the music removed in certain parts- maybe copyright infringement?

Interestingly, I think both of them are from Latvia. Is there a big electronic music scene over there?

RE: The Electro Music Thread
When you say the word 'Electro' it is not like we use it and understand it, over the water here.

Just like when people say 'Marxism', it is not the same.

Same for 'Liberals' - someone should really do a translation.

And you chaps really lose it when it comes to 'Electronica'.

This could be a battle field. But maybe we might make a lexicon of understanding.

After all, it would benefit everyone concerned with game, and that is all that matters, right?

No need to fight.

Let those of us that have experience within each other's fields, translate, best they can, at least what they think the other person means. Yes, there will be some errors, but this is a hard won field. Only those that have spent time amongst others can tell.

Or begin to tell. This is a new and valid field.

Even the Irish and the British are very different culturally. So the Americans will be even more different again. Believe it or not, we do not all hate you over here, we have the greatest admiration for you, in fact. Well, some of us, anyway.

Let us work from that base of mutual respect.

I found this Delerium CD last week used for $3. Can't believe it came out 20 years ago. I bet the electronic and rave scene was fun back then

This Chicago house classic, that absolutely blew up over here in the UK Garage scene, is always a favourite of mine for summer days drinking in the garden:

I've also been playing this from Detroit legend Robert Hood (Floorplan) a lot recently. Good to see Detroit still killing it:

Came across the above track after listening to a James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem) DJ set. I really wanted to see James Murphy at Sonar this year, but unfortunately I have other things going on so can't go. Is James Murphy big in the US, or is he another US artist that's bigger in Europe than in the US?
