Anybody here know anything about Puerto Berrio? I have to shoot up there in a couple of days for a business trip, and was wondering if anyone had any info to share. So far all I know is that it's hot as hell, and that the women are supposedly very beautiful and (relative to Medellin at least) very friendly. Thoughts? If I end up spending the weekend there I'll throw up a data sheet, but I'd like to know a bit going in if possible.

Doesn't seem like anybody has ever been to Puerto Berrio, and so far I can't say I blame them. The heat + humidity here is almost unbearable. I've spent all day sucking down little plastic bags of water and then sweating them out immediately. A few work contacts are about to show me the nightlife, but unless it's truly something special I'm heading back to Medellin for the weekend!

I didn't think that part of Colombia could get hot and humid. I thought that was only the Carib coast or Buenaventura (where Cali is).

I guess this city isn't in the Andes like Medellin then.

I've been there. It's boring, hot, and yes, the girls are on average, pretty, but not as amazing as the actual city of Medellin.

Alos, iHave a girl lined up, the place is pretty boring if you are not fucking a girl 24/7.

You'll get easy bangs from lot's of 5/6's and maybe a 7 if you're lucky. Any 8+ are already getting fucked by local Narco's and will want nothing to do with you.

This. I've been to some really amazing pueblos, but Puerto Berrio was decidedly not one of them.

I'm in Santa Marta right now but am planning on going to Medellin in the next week or so, was thinking about visiting Guatape for a few days, heard good things about that place but am definitely open to other suggestions.

Guatape is gorgeous. You gotta climb up that giant rock El Peñón and get the sick view from up top. It's a workout but worth it. It's like an 1+ hours away from Medellin by bus.

The pueblos of Antioquia deserves its own thread I think. I'll try and throw one up tomorrow at some point.

Thanks for the tip HC, I may check it out, seems like there's some cool things to see/do in the area. I'm up on the Caribbean coast now but this heat is killing me so I"m gonna head back into the interior in the next few days.
