There may have been back in 1950 when "coloured" was a common and acceptable term.

RE: Belarus datasheet
Friday 18/9

It was a tough week at work so I was pretty bolloxed when I met up with my friend outside the Wine Bar. He was chatting up some bird and after a few minutes we hopped along to Gambrinus nearby for a beer before making a beeline to Malt & Hops on ul Zubitskaya. The place was dead, empty tables every where. Cafe Re looked a bit busy but we decided to check out Cherdak which is located in the same square but you have to climb up a few flights of stairs to get there from the courtyard. It wasn't too packed. Cherdak has a hipster feel and is supposed to be a happening spot but my friend and I didn't like the vibe there. We were getting no joy inside the bar with blowouts. We were drinking bottles of Heineken (60,000 BYR). Outside we met a couple of local lads outside the bar whom my friend knew. Cool guys though and great buzz.

While chatting with the lads, I noticed that my friend was busily engaging with these two hotties. He motioned me to come over and I did. I quickly got talking to one of them, brunette, a student at MLSU. She spoke perfect English, a shapely 7.5 with nice arse and tits. Just my type. We chatted for half an hour before she and her friend left to go home. I got her vk and number and are already chatting. We will see what happens. After Cherdak we decided to check out Tumani nearby. We shouldn't have. It was packed, ratios sucked and the music was just too loud to even think so we left. We tried a few street approaches but no luck. Women were on their guard. We decided to head back to the Wine Bar. While passing by the TNT Rock Club we got talking to these two semi attractive MILFs. They were a bit pissed but friendly. While we were chatting away, this ugly looking Spongebob Squarepants bird came in and interrupted. It was a blatant fucking cockblock. Right out of nowhere. Fuck me. The two MILFs went back into TNT Bar while we headed back to the Wine Bar leaving Spongebob to her own mates who had arrived. The Wine Bar was shit. I am starting to hate the place. I have never seen such an establishment full of pretentious stuck up arseholes. One such gobshite rolls up outside in his third hand, German export Porsche and thinks he is the dog's bollox. A bottle of beer in there cost (110,000 BYR). They can keep it. One bird was in there with her dog, poodle under her arm. A fucking dog? Who the fuck brings a dog into a bar? In Ireland only old lads bring their dogs into a pub. I had had enough. It was time to head for the hills. My friend on the otherhand hit up Dozari.

Today I am suffering from the worst dose of the trots I have had in years. The jacks is getting a solid pebble dashing while my hole resembles the flag of Japan. Not nice. I hope I am ok for later. Peace out Comrades.

RE: Belarus datasheet
I returned about 2 weeks ago from Minsk and here is some info. Visa procedure, same as Russia except you need to find a hotel that will invite you(easy) instead of the Russian visa procedure of just paying 30$ and the Visa company doing it for you. Also you need to buy health insurance valid for your time in Belarus, I have Blue Cross Blue Shield worldwide coverage and the Belarussian Embassy would not accept it. Look up on- line companies that do temporary travel insurance it's only about 20$. I spent a Tues-Sun. Night, (not enough time) here's where I went. Dorazi, Black Hall Bar , Overtime for Night Clubs. Black Hall Bar in my opinion was the best. Followed by Dorazi(those two are very close to each other, short cab ride) (good combo for bouncing) Overime was terrible when I was there(left with a group of locals I hooked up within an hour, headed to Dorazi). Bar 13 which is close the Black Hall bar is a great place to pregame and its gets pretty crazy, I was there from about 10- 1 on both Thurs and Fri and was worth it, Bar club MIXX across the street from Bar 13 was terrible(don't go). A great 5pm-10pm pre-gaming street is Vulica Hikaly just off the Plosca jakuba kolasa metro. Three bars in a row to goto, Bar Duck, Bar Cleaver and another Irish pub just up the way. Great place to begin night(One night I was eating Herring in the Irish bar and this Ukrainian chick asked me where I was from, talked for about half hour...I felt like such a ass, shoving down Herring while talking to this decently hot chick...needless to say she leftUndecided.). T-N-T Rock Club near old town was good as well. Malt and Hops when I went in the was like a library. I went to Union Coffee as recommend, good place to chill. Places to drink quality beer Gambrienus, Beer Keller. I also went to the Mound of Glory and the Memorial to the village of Chatyn about 50 KM out of the city worth it to see, look it up on-line, Great Patriotic War museum was good was well. Now,....GIRLS--- hot, probably will not find hotter chicks on the planet (I have not) 0 bangs, 5 make-outs, and a cab ride home to their flat with 2 decent chicks. I was making out with one in Black Hall Bar(I dropped her on the floor too, probably didn't help my case), I thought she was there solo but at the end her friend come out of nowhere jumped in the cab too and proceeded to accomplish a successful cock-block, a stearn NO, from her...) I felt the chicks(and everyone for that matter) were very friendly, when people found out you were a tourist+solo+ American+not there for work, eyes got even bigger(and multiple free shots sometimes followed). Belarussian dudes did not cock block at all. OVERALL, GO, Belarus, is probably one of the last frontiers in Europe that is still virgin territory, not ruined by the recent travel rush to Eastern Europe over the past few years. Yes, one does get "eye-FUCKED" there a bunch, dress up and you'll get looks at the club and filter who is ready for approaching. I speak very little Russian, did the writing on napkin game a couple of times, which usually leads to ....fuck...it... "lets just make out" Google the names of the bars I mentioned and they should come up......Hope this info helps....I already have tickets for next year but it's gonna be for 2 weeks this time.

RE: Belarus datasheet
@dsutmdo good writeup on Minsk. I am not surprised you did not bang. When I was in Minsk in May I also went for only 1 week and did not bang. I blame it on myself though 'cause 2 days I wasted recovering from a severe hangover and the first 40 hours I literally did not sleep. I made more local guy friends than girl friends. My Russian accent coupled with American stories made a good impression on all. I met a few expats in Minsk who also had stories about the slow-dating trend. Yes, ONS are possible from certain clubs but if you want a quality girl-friend unlikely.
I am still high on Overtime Club just because it is about the only club that is open almost every-night (Minsk is not a night-life city unlike Kiev) and resulted in the most numbers for me.

To add I DO NOT recommend staying in a hotel in Minsk. Other than a couple 4+ star hotels like Hotel Europa or Crowne Plaza most are too far from the center so logistics suck and service is mediocre for the price. I like to walk buzzed most places (especially for evening game) so when I travel it is all about logistics.
Another issue with local hotels: When I stayed at Hotel Planeta (3 star hotel across the street from Palace of Sport) last year they required all the guests to register, so the chick I was with on our 2nd date frowned upon that and instead of taking her to my room to "show the gorgeous view" from the 9th floor window I had to go outside for sushi Angry

Staying in an airbnb place can get complicated as it is treated as a private residence and scrutinized a bit more by Embassy staff when they see name of house so they may require a private invitation for Americans (invitation from the local host which is a bit of paperwork for them and may not be worth their time if you are on budget travel). The best deal is to get something in between such as a "serviced apartment" which offers some of the advantages of the hotel (such as invitation and official sounding name of business) but also no hassles as far as staff questioning you or extra fees. Here's an example.

The one thing I highly recommend is if you have met a quality girl taking a tour of the Unesco World heritage sites, such as Nesvizh and Mir. I used Andrei from http://www.minskguide.travel and he made a very good impression.

Yeah, guys, anybody knows how is Minsk nowadays? Are there any travellers / hostels? How expensive is that? Are people friendly to foreigners? I didn't hear much about Belarus in last ~2-3 years.

I was thinking about dropping in there for a month or two. Could learn some Russian at the same time.

RE: Belarus datasheet
So I've been to Belarus a month ago for a week.

There's totally no tourists right now. Which isn't suprising, as Belarus isn't super attractive to tourists - there isn't much to see.
But if you dont care about the tourists stuff, and just want to see genuine feelings from people, then u'll like it, just as I did.

But: I'd recommend that you speak some Russian. Without it, you won't be able to do much in this country.

Belarus is 10-30% cheaper than Poland.

About gaming: people go out in Belarus mostly only during the weekends. During the mid week, there's not much happening. So better be prepared for it, find some other things to do for yourself in the meantime. Or try out day game ;>
