RE: Review of Medellin, Colombia
Scotian and other specialists in here. Looking for some advice here.
Been, in total, 9 months in Medellin in the last 2 years. I have no problems at all with the women, pulled around 10/12 locals (looking into quality to keep as friends (ideally ''con derecho'') not quantity) and, in my world, all were 7's or +.
All my pulls came from either Tinder/Couchsurfing/CCupid OR night game.

But damn, I am living in front of one of the biggest university in Medellin (UP Boliviariana), I have access to it (because I subscribed to their GYM) and I really want to try out day-gaming ; just have very little experience about it.
Any general advices ? God, any day I walk around there, I see stunners everywhere, exactly type of women I like, pretty young, skinny, nice looking and educated. Do you just go there and try to start random conversations by asking simple openers (like where is this xxx building) and then ask if ''we could be in touch as I am new in the city'' (which I believe almost always would work).

Advices would be appreciated. Gracias parceros

Here's what I do.

I approach indirectly, asking them a question.

"Do you know a good place to grab ice cream."

Its best if you can ask something that you can easily transition from. Roosh has the Pet shop opener. Transition that, if you're at the Uni could just ask her, "oh do you study there." Then normal convo.

I just try to do situational stuff as much as I can.

There are a million things you could say or do, all of which could get things started. We should really have a thread just on effective openers. The hard part is finding quality girls alone or even in pairs and for me, being focused enough to notice them and go open them.

Supposedly you're supposed to have one. But the aduanas have never been interested in seeing my return ticket. I try to show them, and they just wave their hand. They don't seem to care.

But to feel a bit more secure, I'd perhaps have one anyhow. It's likely discretionary on the part of each inspector, and you might get the one asshole that wants it.

I have been to San Andres and there they really checked if I had one. Best to use one of those ticket generator sites if you plan on entering the country without a return flight.

I don't know where I will go next or when I will go back so buying a return ticket is not an option.

I forgot to get one last time and in the ride to the airport i made one on my phone with http://returnflights.net/ with legit flight info and pricing then took a screen shot of it. When I got to the ticket counter I just showed them the screen shot and it was fine. Just don't use a flight for the same airline.

How is the month of March for visiting Medellin ? Is there a decrease in nightlife activity in the period just after Carnival until Easter?

Just an FYI for the Medellin folks, but apparently late last week they made it illegal to smoke in bars and drink in public. Keep an eye out for that, already heard of some people getting in trouble over the weekend.

You can be guaranteed who the cops will be targeting to fine or ask for a bribe: GRINGOS!!!

I guarantee you this will make nightgame seriously worse, maybe even kill it. It's just a cue to focus on daygame, social circle, and I guess, online game.

RE: Review of Medellin, Colombia
Just checked the news to make sure I was being bullshitted. The new law kicked in on January 30th. In the first 24 hours 148 tickets were issued in Medellin. Kind of a fan of the no smoking, but the drinking in public sucks. I used to enjoy my Uber roadies on the way to the bar.

What. In. The. Holy. Fuck.

I enjoyed the fact that I could go down to Poblado or Lleras and buy a beer and sit on the bench. Goddamn fascists.

Fuck that.

Do you know if this is just in Medellin or all of Colombia?

Cops were hassling people for that long before this law came in. Unofficially I guess. The bars want people buying drinks. Gringos are the only target that makes sense.

but most of the bars are open-air/patio style (not fully enclosed), right? So smoking is banned even there?

As far as I know, since I've been going to Colombia you couldn't smoke inside of bars or clubs, only on the patios and even then it was bar patios and not restaurants. This is a stupid decision that likely won't be enforced too much except for Gringos, so be careful with your street beers guys, get a cup and pour your beer into that to avoid get hassled by the cops.

That's sad, it feels really good when you got a big-assed bitch grinding on your dick with a beer in one hand and a cig in your mouth.

^As I mentioned above, in the five years I've been going to Colombia, I've never been in a nightclub where you can smoke. Whore houses and are another story though, no one gives a fuck inside those.

I went to a soccer match in Bello to see Nacional vs. Medellin. The entire place smelled like one huge bong. The cops were standing around to keep the fans from killing one another, and people were smoking doobs while talking to the police.

But yet I can't drink a Poker in Poblado? Idiodic.

And I agree that this is just a scam to shake down Gringos. All the times I've hung out at Lleras and Poblado, everyone was drinking and being chill. No fights or craziness. I haven't seen how this is some big problem for Medellin.
