Still think the obvious choice is MDE. They don't seem any flakier than Cali girls from limited sample size thus far. I think you previously noted that as well. And weather, affordability, food, coffee, transport, nightlife, and high volume of quality girls. And 3 of the best craft breweries in CO. Still can't lose with that.

I want to go to Medellin some time since the dollar has took off.. I'm 5'10, 67kg 25 years old, I have a middle eastern look, but can easily pass off as italian, greek etc. How will I fair in Colombia? I don't look that much different from a Colombian guy so it would take time for girls to notice I'm a foreigner. I've had a lot of success in SEA and Taiwan , but then who hasn't? BTW, I don't know a single word of spanish. Some input would be very nice.

Boodyhuntah, I agree with you. I thought Cali and Barranquilla could make up for it, by having sweeter and less flakier girls. But that is not the truth. Smartphones changed all that.
I get interests on Colombian cupid from 18 to 24 year old hot girls from Medellin regularly. The average quality is superior....there is no doubt about that. And then I say to myself..what the fuck am I doing in Barranquilla. I still get my 10 new bangs a month in Barranquilla, but from lesser quality and the attitude is the worst I've seen since Bucaramanga.
My one night stands have gone up exponentially but not the overall number.
I know paisas will be a pain in the ass always, but IMO they still deliver the most regular quality pussy in Colombia.

And I know young decent looking gringos with game and mediocre Spanish, won't notice a difference between the women of these cities.
There are always the 10 percent, who are gringo groupies, to make it seem all easy.

Read some Colombian threads. They are plentiful. In my estimation, if you are in the top 2-3% game-wise, spanish is likely not necessary as evidenced by other players who have had wild success here, e.g. LINUX, et. al. For everyone else, expect more normal results. Work on your spanish, physique, style, and be an approach machine. And you can surely supplement with internet dating, though I'm burned out on that at the moment.

I looked at the thread of LINUX. He is good looking + jacked as hell + has decent game. I'm not jacked at all but I'm blessed with good genetics (naturally broad shoulders, slim waist)

I'm just wondering if I can get similar results like I got in Thailand. I'll definitely work on learning some spanish. I'll rent a decent pad in El Pablado + roll in with a tailored suit.

Game wise, I'm not that good, the only thing I'm good at is converting dates to ONS, that's about it.

Thailand is pretty easy. I sincerely doubt it will be as easy as Thailand. Their culture is WAY more open to ONS in my experience.

Well, I don't know if it's been talked about much but WOW - Parque Lleras seems to have been flooded with prostitutes on Friday/Saturday night.

They're picking up that's the Gringo area of choice. Even the bars/clubs there. Absolutely ridiculous.

I just banged an 18 yr old virgin in Barranquilla. Sweet, nice, cute and definitely a keeper. That is why, one can never complain about Colombia.
Though I believe you can find more of those in Medellin or Bogota, than in the coast.

Latin cupid. At 3000 pesos per dollar you can live like a king here.
But I don't like Barranquilla women They have too much baggage in general. The 18 yr old was an outlier.
The beauty of Colombia is that if you stay a month or two and speak Spanish, an 18 yr old 7 will come around the way.

RE: Review of Medellin, Colombia
what's up guys,
Just reading this thread for the first time as I'm spending my last nite in Colombia, spec. MDE at the El Hangar hotel - it's 1.5 km away from the airport and since I have to fly to NYC tmrow (see fam for a week) I can't come all the way into the city. Anyways, thx for those tips earlier BootyHuntah...they may come in handy for my future visit. Wink

I only got to do 3.5 weeks of Colombia, going everywhere from Cali, Salento (TIP: stay at La Serrana hostel - feels like a 4-star hotel, that town was prob highlight of my trip), Medellin, Cartegena (too effin hot & humid - and I live in Thailand!!!), Taganga (just a diving town, didn't care for it but my friend was doing PADI cert), Tayrona (do the hike and stay over night in Cabo area in a hammock on the beach), Paso Del Mango/Minca (TIP: Checkout Carpe Diem Finca or Oscar's Place if you want to recharge in the cooler mountains and hike/waterfalls/coffee & cacao farms - muy tranquilo), Santa Marta (Dreamers Hostel is chill place to stay w/ music and easy to meet people, not too crazy/partyish)...

Currently, Thailand has been my homebase for the past 2.5 years (Chiang Mai) where I run my Internet businesses (digital nomad style), but looking to do the same with Medellin, possibly in Jan/Feb 2016...I only got to stay in Pablado this time and wasn't exactly blown away...after reading this guide, I'm considering Laureles, Estadio, Engavado neighborhoods since being around tourist/ foreigners 24/7 isn't what I'm looking for. Check it out as it may be useful for you other expats / travelers:
http://www.webworktravel.com/medellin-digital-nomad/

I also found this site for rent: http://rentblissmedellin.com/
http://ihmedellin.com/

There's also FB groups for Expats & Digital nomads:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/16590824...902099930/

https://www.facebook.com/groups/510044409058180/

As of now, I'll be in Ecuador in December 2015 to bring my younger brother to the Ayahuasca/ San Pedro retreat (Gaia Sagrada) that I attended back in August - afterwards the plan is to come straight to PAISA land Smile Hopefully I can meet up with some of you guys out here who are long-termers (scotian, newgame). Ciao!

RE: Review of Medellin, Colombia
Just read this very interesting blog post linked below based on the games Colombian chicks (in particular, girls from Medellin) play. I like the progression he makes and the level of detail in his recounting of the interaction.

I've run into this one in the beginning of my first month in Colombia and couldn't figure it out. Wish I read this earlier. Learn to play the game lest you be played.

http://mavericktraveler.com/the-last-tim...bian-girls

Quote:Then she made a request, that astonishes me to this day.

"Can I have cab money to get home?"

Quote:I looked at her in disbelief. I couldn’t comprehend the utter arrogance of what she’d just said.

In the last few hours, I paid for everything: the taxi to the club, the cover charges, the bottles of rum, in the first club, then in the second, yet here she was asking for yet another handout completely unashamed of how ridiculous her request is.

"I don’t have any money on me." It was a lie; I had plenty of money on me.

"What do you mean? You asked me out, how would you come without money?"

"It’s a dangerous city, and I don’t like to carry a lot of money on me."

She turned away and suddenly started to cry right there on sidewalk outside the club. I don’t remember the last time I saw a 28 year old woman cry over something so childish.

"I find it hard to believe that you would go out without any money at all," I persisted

"I only brought enough for the metro. Also, when guys ask girls out here in Colombia, it’s expected of them to pay for everything," she sobbed while trying to guilt me with the cultural angle.

Quote:I really didn’t want to go home alone again, and was willing to take this as far as I could.

"Ok, you will get your money, but first we have to go to my place so I can get it."

She knew my place was on the very opposite side of town as her place, so for her to agree she was making a big commitment

She refused, saying how she didn’t want to come over, and that all she wanted was to go home. She continued to cry without saying another word.

I didn’t say a word, and after five minutes of deliberating just walked towards the curb and signaled to the next available cab. Bracing for more resistance, I nevertheless grabbed her hand to lead her in. Surprisingly, she came quickly, got inside the cab, and off we went.

Quote:I commented on how delicious her lips looked all night, and how much I wanted to kiss them. She eased up a little, her body becoming more relaxed and comfortable. I paused, looked away, looked back, and slowly leaned in for the kiss. There was slight resistance, but nothing that I haven’t experienced before.

We made out for a bit on the couch, slowly escalating the sexual tension. After it was too much, I grabbed her hand and lead her to my bedroom.

I pushed her onto my narrow bed and began removing all her clothes, while kissing all over her smooth skin. Once the clothes off, the true extent of her slim and tight
figure was revealed. She was maybe 5’6 and weighing not more than 100 lbs.

We made love several times that night. Around five in the morning, remembering that she had somewhere else to be early in the morning, she started to get ready by putting on sexy clothing that covered her irresistible body.

Quote:I walked her to the door, gave her a kiss, and wished her a nice day.

Several hours later, after I woke up for the second time, I finally realized that she went home allegedly penniless since I never gave her any cab money.

If she seems a bit a more convervative or shy, try the let me cook you dinner routine. With the easier more friendly types, just go with drinks near your place and when she is buzzing, suggest going there to listen to music or a movie.

What was the name of the American murdered in Colombia a few years ago? Big guy who lifted and trained Jiu Jitsu. Had some sort of shady business ripping people off on oil deals or something?

Anyone remember?

Foreigners are killed there more than what you might think.

My last trip to MDE a local gang was finding foreigners on FB
who looked wealthy......kidnapping them in a mall by using a
hot 9 as "bait". They would drain their bank account over a
few days...torture them...then CASTRATE them when they
let them go.

torture and castration.

I have been there 8 times....2/3 of the trips there were foreigners
killed while I was there.

Castrating them, I assume they were sex tourists whom locals aren't too crazy about. On one hand, they bring in money, on the other they are helping to grow this business and negatively influencing others to join. Some locals get pissed if they see a gringo with a local girl. Just saying.....

Blaming others is common everywhere in the world for societies' ills. In Colombia drugs and the sex trade vices,,,, the foreigners get blamed or targeted in a negative way. Although, Colombians partake much more in the vices locally.

Do you have any links? Seems like foreigners being kidnapped from a mall in broad daylight, to then be tortured and castrated would make national news in any country.

That guy in no way looks like a sex tourist. I'm putting my money on five letters being the problem, D-R-U-G-S.

Most of the local San Juan del Sur people hated that Eric Volz guy who ended up in a Nicaraguan prison for a while and was eventually released. I don't think he was guilty of murder, but from what I hear he was guilty of being a bollocks.
