You agree to meet your date at a bar/restaurant. You both walk in and scan the place for available seats. Taking the lead as an Alpha male would you find an appropriate table and start to settle into place. After a moment settles she claims that she wants to move to a different table in the bar/restaurant. Do you....

A. Comply and just get up and move to the table where she wants to sit.

B. Maintain state control and reaffirm that the seats already chosen are fine. You do not move.

Seems like the risks are as follows: If you choose A, then you give her control and lose authority. However this allows her to feel more comfortable because she has picked that particular spot.

If you choose B, then you run the risk of starting a small conflict during the beginning of the date. You are maintaining the lead role which may turn her on, however you run the risk of making an issue out of something as inconsequential as where to sit.

I have always hated the phrase "shit test", although this is a somewhat interesting question.

I really think it doesn't matter too much.

Exactly- first ask her why she wants to move.

If she has a legitimate reason- the sun is in her eyes, AC vent is blowing on her, baby at next table is screaming- then it's not a test, just grant her request and move.

But if it's just a lame, nonsensical reason then it probably is a test to see if she can boss you around

Just say " No, this table's fine" in a firm dismissive way.

If she persists, tell her she can move over there if she wants to

If she still won't let it drop, I would get up and leave. Seriously. You don't want to get involved with a witch like that because it will be one power play after another

I think the reason for moving is due to their indecisiveness. They first choose one spot, then suddenly change their minds and choose another spot. It could allow them to take control of the situation, or it could be a test to see if I reaffirm the lead and maintain control.

This situation seems to pop up again and again on dates, and I am curious if anyone has a good solution.

I honestly almost never encounter this.

And I probably meet girls for dinner and or drinks 3 times a week. For years and years.

What do they say when you ask them why they want to move?

Usually there is no explanation. Maybe it has just been a coincidence for me encountering this issue. Next time I'll be more reluctant to move.

This seems almost like a joke post, I have never encountered this, my best bet is just coincidence. Maybe time 1 sun was in her eyes, time 2 she was under the ac, etc. I guess the reason why doesn't matter.
the only other explanation I can think of is they are trying to move away from the front/windows to the back because they don't want to be seen with you because 1. They don't want no one to know about you because they think your physically not in their league, or 2. They don't want their bf to find out and you are from a small town where lots of people know each other
The way to pass any shit test is to show indifference and that you do not care because a real alpha would never even know he was being shit tested. if a girl says she wants to move just ignore. If she says it again then tell her go on and move if you want. If you notice apattern of controling behaviour though just walk away.

I'm kinda finicky about the feng shui of restaurant seating sometimes, so I find myself in this situation with the roles reversed. If she's cute just indulge her OCD (within reason).

I've encountered the following scenario quite frequently:

Me and foreign girl go to a bar. I suggest we sit AT the bar, but she rather sit at a table. Eastern Euro girls seem to universally hate sitting at the bar. In this case I comply, but if she's been demanding prior to that situation, I hold firm.

Now I just go on dates to bars with intimate table seating.

Yeah, in that case, I let her pick the table, and then reject her decision in favor of a different table (for whatever made-up reason). Gotta stay on top.

This does happen to me also.

It's a cultural thing.

American's are really the only ones who eat at bars. The Spanish too at tapas bars.

Mexicanas? No way.

Colombianas seem open to it, although again, not part of their culture.

I am way more lenient with girls from other countries and try to ease them into eating at the bar.

I don't think I've ever had this problem. Are you just picking weird ass spots in the venues? Like MrXY said, if it's a sucky table for some reason, be chill and move.

One possibility is that you weren't sufficiently dominant before entering the restaurant. Because if you were, she wouldn't suddenly be asserting herself. For instance, when I'm on a date, I have the girl come to me and park nearby. She has no clue where the hell she is. I of course do. So every step of the way, she's putting herself in my hands. Not that this is some great move for spreading her legs per se, but IMO, it makes her very unlikely to suddenly question my authority when we say, enter a restaurant, or when I say we're going somewhere. Right from the beginning, hell, even before by consenting to come to me, she's submitting to my authority.

Why sit at the bar? I always try to pick a secluded spot. Just being alone with her in a quiet spot does half the job for me.
