lol im still in denmark now.
chicks arent downright ugly...but it seems maybe after like a certain age they just get ugly as fuck.
i see lots of ok chicks and conclude that they are actually underaged...

style here for sure is fucked up. again to me the roosh kinda exxagerated on style. not everyone dresses like there insane grandma.

That guy reminds me of one of the things that I saw among Danish men, and why I hated those guilty of it. Even when they make an act of agreeing with you, they are subtly undermining you at every opportunity. Denmark is the world capital of passive-aggressiveness. My friends tease me all the time, but it's warm and light-hearted. When the Danes would do it, they do it in this cold, higher-than-thou attitude that's almost imperceptible, and it feels like a personal attack. Once you realize what's happening, you want to get the fuck away.

If you look at what that guy wrote in response to Roosh, he says effectively, "Roosh is right, if your frame of comparison is Danish women to American women." And then he goes on to subtly trash American women albeit for the wrong reasons. So you're convinced that American women suck, as his little barbs are supposed to do. Now you're thinking, "Hey, it's not so bad that Danish women are different from American women."

My history's not so good, but they seemed to be weirdly proud of the fact that they were Very Unhappy with the Nazi occupation of Denmark, where their resistance consisted mostly of frowning at their overlords.

This isn't true of all Danes, but it's a strain I saw among the people. Another thing that would happen, more to my friends than me due to a difference in circumstances, that Danes would pretend to be your friends when they're drunk, and then go on to completely ignore you and avoid you once they were sober. I had a couple friends at a folk school, and there were two groups - the ethnic Danes, and 'Other,' consisting of Americans, Arabs, Africans and other foreigners. I was told they only really interacted when the booze was flowing, aside from a couple friendly Danes.

Edit: Just to clarify, that guy's argument is BS because Roosh is comparing Danish women to a wide range of women, from Argentines to Poles. To the extent that he compares them specifically to American women, it's along the lines of, "American women are already worse than women from practically everywhere else, and the Danes are even worse."

If that guy had actually acknowledged that Roosh knew more than just American girls, he'd be forced to agree that Danish women are bottom of the barrel, or disagree with Roosh. This is actually at the heart of Ricky Raw's strategy for dealing with passive-aggressive types - force them into a confrontation. Instead, this guy plays this pussy passive-aggressive ploy so he can have it both ways. Once you strip away the passive-aggressive agreement, it's a basic strawman argument.

Great observation. Look at the comments on Roosh's Facebook page - they make ample use of what I call the passive-agressive smiley. They take a blatant shot and then suffix it with or - it's very annoying.

Guys do this too. Fits right into what Ricky Raw calls the BMOG. Girls are expected to do this, they're generally uncomfortable with direct confrontation. But when a guy does it it's such a bitch move that I can't help but take the bait and call him out on it. Of course they have plausible deniability because it was so indirect and can scurry right back into their shell of sarcasm and moral superiority.

Happened to me recently with a German dude whom I consider a friend. Not a close friend, but a friend nonetheless. He started making indirect, snarky comments about a girl I've been involved with. First I was puzzled thinking is he really saying this? Then I called him out on it, asking him what the fuck he was trying to say. He backtracked and said nothing, he didn't know what I was talking about. Then half an hour later he came clean and apologized to me for commenting on things that were none of his business. I told him I appreciated his saying so and not to worry about it. But that's a rare outcome.

Hah. Big contrast to Europe. A couple of years ago I was in Rome. A family friend invited me to his house on a Sunday night to watch soccer. He was there with six friends watching the game. They shouted the dirtiest, most elaborate profanities at the TV. When his ten year old daughter came into the room they all toned it down and kept it clean. Then when she left they went back to it.

Well it's funny that you mention rebuttals and the like ElJefe, because I don't really see the point in them in this case.

At its core, Don't Bang... is a compendium of cleverly-written observations about a single society, written by an outsider who has had a lot of experience in picking up chicks in plenty of other locations in the world. You either agree with the sentiments expressed in the book, or you disagree with them. End of story. If some crappy 'intellectual' paper disagrees with the book, then fine - but who cares what they think?

This is basically Game anthropology. Roosh is a university professor going out and exploring a primitive tribal village and then writing home about it to his like-minded colleagues back at the college department. Now the tribe have gotten hold of a copy of the book, taken parts of it out of context and are reacting to those observations like primitives. Instead of throwing spears and slinging rocks they have resorted to posting passive-aggressive comments on Facebook because they feel their pride has been wounded. Truth is it seems that they had little pride to begin with but, because Don't Bang... hits so close to home, they feel like they have to defend themselves against Roosh anyway - despite him being vastly more worldly and the book was not really ever supposed to be written for their eyes in the first place.

I can't work out why there's so much sensationalism about it in the Danish press though. Is there really nothing else to talk about but a Game guide?

It because Danes are totally obsessed with what foreigners think of them, as demonstrated. The reason I'd be interested in writing is, besides writing excellent Danish (even by danish standards) the discussion is interesting from a sociological/economic perspective (my forté) and for the national debate where raging feminism has gone unchallenged for decades.

It would be fantastic to throw an additional, well-formulated article out there with some real numbers and valid observations from a social-science perspective because a lot of people sense the truth in Roosh's words but can only react with emotions rather than coherent argument.

I'm super busy so I wouldn't be able to do it for another week, if at all.

I actually wasn't being sarcastic at all. I bought and read DBD, and laughed my ass off. I just thought it was great that someone else had a very similar story to tell. Just more evidence vindicating Roosh. I actually read both pages of what you wrote and enjoyed the pics. The fact that the girl pissed herself was pretty funny.

Just a different paradigm over here. I'm quite conservative - by Scandi standards I'm a total bigot - but because I understand the paradigm, I can get people to understand my POV easily enough.

Don't Bang Denmark is outselling The Rough Guide to Copenhagen on the Amazon charts!
It seems people prefer a "Roosh" guide to the city ,even Danish people..I'm guessing that's who's responsible for the upsurge.

These guides definitely have "Brand" potential now!

Im living here /working/studying/traveling
pretty much studying abroad without the well off college student surrounded by a group of americans part

its a great town. im from a beach city in the south so the weather is shitty to me.
but if you brave the cold and make approaches its not to bad.
what ive caught in the last month or so is better than what i get in alot of places.

im in dusseldorf for a while now.
id put up a karneval data sheet, but i honestly dont know if i can remember the bars and clubs ive went to.
when i get back to my homebase ill probally reply on a thread about it here

but thers a data sheet for hamburg on this site that ive used to success and theres a couple post on dusseldorf somewhere.

Most are women in their 30s with kids and man jaws. The irony is that the uglier the girl, the more she says I'm wrong, when it's HER EXISTENCE that has led to my initial conclusion!
