Yes, being female is a mild case of BPD, and related affective disorders.
Girls are genuinely dangerous, and men who deal with them need to take extra-ordinary protective measures, as if 30% of them were capable of extreme, unpredictable, dangerous behavior.
I keep everying I need on my person to bug out of any place I live, at all times. Even when at the gym.
That's an explanation not a fact. The fact that mental illness is increasing year on year for each age group means time is not necessarily what's creating the decrease. (the survey compares past years to 2010). It is possible that time decreases mental illnesses but it could also be mental illness is increasing with each successive generation, (more likely). So at the least, year on year there will be more people with mental illnesses that need will need to recover from it.

Oh, I didn't realize there was a chart showing the increase year by year. Roughly how much of an increase is it for women of the same age, over what time?

Never mind, the survey doesn't collect past years beyond 1 year for "any mental illness". I mixed up "Received Mental Health Treatment/Counseling in the Past Year" which has increased somewhat for the older generation.

I don't believe in the biopolar or any of the hundreds of mental diseases that were INVENTED and written in DSM.
I was diagnosed with bipolar and I find this line of thought interesting. I kinda agree. After I was diagnosed I stopped going to my psychologist who wanted me to get on medication.
Though I think there is something to it. I have dealt with crippling depression to where I couldn't leave home, extreme anxiety, and certain behavior patterns that are textbook bipolar.
But I feel like my mental lack of fitness is a result of the environment and the sick American society we live in. I'd probably be fine in a better environment. So at the same time I believe there is something wrong with me because I can recognize times I've exhibited such behaviors as the DSM describes but I also have to take the environment and my own agency into account.
Any other guys on this sub who've been diagnosed with mental disorders?

^ A doc wanted me to get on Prozac in junior high due to anxiety. I said hell no.
MikeCF (Cernovich's) Gorilla Mindset (I have never read) - I watch his videos. Just the idea of Gorilla Mindset, self mind frame control, reset ideas and how you feel, self affirmations etc... They have helped tremendously.
You really need to reframe every single circumstance in life as a movie scene or game where you can decide the perception at every turn.
It takes practice like anything, it is a very great wonderful tool to have especially in stressful times or times of self doubt. It makes you at peace because it gives you the illusion of control that ultimately if practiced enough turns things you want into reality.

RE: A full quarter of American Women are mentally ill
I had bipolar problems for years. Never diagnosed because it just wasn't a focus back then.
I finally beat it back with meditation, exercise, and diet control. Above all, relentless focus on the nature of reality: "I'm not up or down because of the world. It's just chemicals in my brain".
Plus mental discipline, but this is also just due to getting older and gaining more control of your life. Getting married to the right woman helped.
Regarding women...well they are all being brainwashed by Feminism, and Feminism is a mental habit designed by and practiced by crazy women. It's a disease meme being spread by people who want to infect others.

This doesn't jive with today's hookup culture. The only rules against expressing sexuality are on men.
The problem with women isn't too much sexual repression but too much sexual freedom, leading to the every-escalating more-is-more hedonist treadmill.
BTW, I think women, while not mentally ill, are wired to be inherently neurotic, constantly bean-counting over their relative social status.
There is a lack of healthy sexual expression in American - and therefore, Western - society. On the one hand, America is obsessed with repressing sex; on the other, it is utterly flagrant, like the teetotaller who gets drunk and acts like a demon. There is no balance.

I don't think we're obsessed with repressing sex (other than male sexual agency). We're obsessed with our PAST repression of sex. The way sex is now up front and center seems like an overreaction to the past. Just like how Howard Stern used to always start his interviews of strippers by asking about daddy issues, people tend to go through these rebellions for the sake of rebelling. It takes a greater amount of wisdom to step back and really weigh the actual pros and cons of living a particular lifestyle.
Another way of saying it is that we're stuck in the antithesis phase of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis.
The grass always seems greener at first, but once you're on the other side you should know better. "A full quarter of American Women are mentally ill" is part of the incoming datastream to suggest it isn't greener. Same deal with divorce and out-of-wedlock births.
Too much of history is a pendulum clock of culture shifting between polar opposites. What's truly "healthy" is probably somewhere halfway between Sharia and Sex and the City.
Another way of defining NPC would be fundamentalist. NPCs can't synthesize because they feel their position is right to the point where they don't even consider contrary information. This is what keeps society from ever changing outside of a complete collapse.

RE: A full quarter of American Women are mentally ill
If American women are anything like the UK ones, having 25% of them with mental illness just means that the other 75% are running around without being diagnosed yet.
