Have you guys heard of SceneTap?

You can see the girl-guy ratio at a bar without leaving your house! You can look through your Smartphone or at there Website

I just read about it for a Marketing Class I'm taking..

I think it only exists in Chicago as of now..

Has anyone tried this?

Hopefully they expand soon. Seems like a great idea.

I'd much rather put in the hard work of finding decent spots, than having them presented to everyone using ultimate Big Brother style technology.

Useful, but I see no reason to be overjoyed. Such technology concerns me greatly.

I've never used something like this to my advantage.

I know some guys have had success with pipelining, flirt apps etc..

The fact of the matter is our society is changing. I am trying to adapt with it.

I would rather none of this type of crap exist.

However, the fact of the matter is it is here and here to stay. Might as well try to utilize some of it.

I don't think an app can solve the sausage-fest problem. In fact, it will make it worse. Here's a hypothetical:

It's Thursday night. Bar X is a massive sausage fest. Bar Y, down the street, has a favorable (but not amazing) girl surplus. Tuthmosis is at Bar Y because he's done reconnaissance and knows that Bar Y has good numbers--for some weird reason--on this night. Some no-game bros at Bar X start getting itchy and get on their iPhones and load up SceneTap. They walk into Bar Y, en masse, piss off Tuthmosis, make the girls raise their sausage shields, and turn Bar Y into a sausage fest too. Now both bars are sausage fests.

Plus, let's remember that girl-guy ratios aren't our only problem. They need to pair this app with one that gives you fatty-to-non-fatty analysis. The gender ratios might be good at Club Bounce, but that only tells half the story.

I have this app. A significant limitation is that it doesn't cover that many venues, especially in some neighborhoods. Still worth checking out if for no other reason than to make sure the place you're headed isn't a total cockfest though.

Why are girls not going out? You'd figure that things like World of Warcraft would alter ratios in our favor, but there's no signs in sight. My guess is that chicks don't need to go out at every opportunity to get their fix of dick and attention.

Good point.

I think it is better to keep it a Game of moves, insight, prediction and local knowledge.

I wonder how accurate this thing is anyways.
