There is a reason why he seems to be acting beta and alpha. He is BOTH. The dude is essentially Alpha Maling HER.

Here is what is happening. When he sees his wife with another dude, he essentially turns the other dude into a chick, and his wife into a BETA DUDE. Whereas in a normal relationship, he would be either disciplining the wife for flirting, OR competing with the other guys for his wife's attention, now he is forcing the wife to compete with HIM for the other guy's attention and affection. The crazy part is that SHE IS LOSING AND SHE KNOWS IT.

Think about how crazy this is. All of these other dudes that her husband befriends are essentially saying that they value this dude's friendship (even though they just met 5 minutes ago) more than her pussy. That has got to completely wreck her self-esteem. You can already tell that she is jealous about how easily he makes friends. Here we have a chick throwing obvious IOI's to other dudes, and a husband who is most likely no physical threat, and THESE DUDES ARE CHOOSING HIM.

While this is not my preferred method, I can't call this beta behavior. If he was actually being a true beta, his wife would be boning those guys and not complaining about him cockblocking her. I'll admit it, I was more impressed with his technique and downplayed his overall mindset. However, in light of actually seeing a pic of her, I rescind my praise of his technique.

Yeah, the guy is definitely beta, but he is a beta working with what little he has. At the end of the day, if he was alpha he would not have married a slut like her. Hell, looking at her picks, if he was alpha he wouldn't have even dated her.

Looking at her, she is basically a 3-3.5 at best, both naturally unattractive AND out of shape. I would be more willing to drop her to a 3 than raise her to a 4. Maybe I am judging too much, but I know tons of girls like this. She makes up for being ugly by being more sexually aggressive. The end result is that she has a ton of beta dudes circling around worshiping her, and the occasional alpha dude who just uses her to blow his wad when he has nothing else on tap.

Previously, the thing that confused me was how this guy could get other dudes to back off like that. I think a lot of girls in this nebulous 3-4 range manage to float around the beta universe pretty comfortably. I see it all the time. They find their niche and they figure out how to exploit it. They've always been awkward and rather unattractive, and this never changes. But their beta world blows up their ego to levels disproportionate to their real-world attractiveness. Since they rarely step out of their fantasy bubble, they really get slapped to the ground by reality.

That's basically what's happened when she wrote this article. In an act of massive hubris, she walked out of the safety of the nerd/beta/loser world that she normally operates in. I want to add one observation I've made over the past few months:

I've noticed that there's an epidemic of unremarkable-looking, nerdy chicks on OKC calling themselves "polyamorous" and claiming to be in "open relationships." I mean, it's super-common. I can't help but think that all of this is somehow connected to that broader trend.

I think there's some sort of surge in these less-than-attractive girls getting into LTRs with traditional betas, who satisfy their relationship craving, but then turning around--because they can get away with it--and getting dickings from higher-value dudes who don't mind fucking them. They walk all over their betas boyfriends (or husbands) with social confidence borne from the erosion of slut-shaming in our society. The higher-value dudes go after them for the easy bang, since they are suffering themselves from (or exploiting) the dating-market pressures created by the obesity epidemic.
