I'm currently in an LTR with a girl whom I see myself having a future with. However, as of October, it'll change to an LDR until the end of next May, with the exception of seeing each other Friday-Sunday and with two months off where we'll spend most of the time together.

She's beginning a (from what I gather) pretty intense teacher training course at a university that she'll have to spend a couple of hours each day commuting too from her parents' house (who are strictly religious). She also seems to have pretty good morals with regards to promiscuity.

Will this work or am I deluding myself?

No one knows because we don't know you at all, who you are, your age or experience, your expectations for a relationship.

How often do you see her now? I'd say seeing your girl 3 days a week is a full-fledged, real girlfriend. I wouldn't go more than that if she lived in the same town as me.

For instance, for me, I'd totally keep her around to fuck weekend or two then keep playing on the side. I actually have a buddy who did this sorta when his gf was in college and he ended up marrying her (like 6 yrs later).

I'm turning 20 in a few months. She's just over 2 years older than me. I lost my virginity a year before I met her, and in those 12 months transitioned from beta to - in my own eyes and from what others have told me - pretty alpha. In that time I bedded 17 women, however I'm not that into casual sex (it doesn't help that I can't use condoms).

I'd like for this LTR to go the distance. Our relationship is standard "Captain and first mate" dynamic.

Currently we spend (usually) 3-4 nights a week together.

An LDR isn't ideal, but she's fairly hot (7/10+. I've got her on an exercise regime and diet to lose the extra 10lbs she has) with a pretty good personality (I can actually have intellectual discussion with her), so I want to be with her in the long run.

Be very careful dude. I know it sounds dramatic, but you should begin distancing yourself from her in your mind as well. This happened to me too. You say it'll be weekends, but just wait until you guys just have different things to be doing all the time and postponing one week turns into two, then three.

It will sneak up on you. The only advice I can really give is to dominate and ravish her so completely that it is tattooed into her skull. Anything less is a forfeit. If you are game aware as you say, then you know the true nature of women.

It was actually an LDR failure that led me to first stumble upon the redpill. Very similar situation, as a matter of fact. We planned to see each other on weekends, and she was going off to university.

That being said... I was beta as fuck, so take this with a grain of salt. I just want to spare another man my misery.

Well we're going travelling and moving in together after her teacher course, and I know she's thought "what our kids would be like" or whatever. I notice her views have had a moderate shift towards conservatism since meeting me (I have a fairly socially conservative view).

Quick question: how do you find the ideal balance of alpha and beta for an LTR? I'm getting there but notice that I'm some times too "tyrannical" (she rarely shit tests me but comfort tests aren't all that far between) and occassionally too beta.

I see no problem if you still plow forward on the weekdays, and she is an emergency lifeline lay. A plus if she sends nudes spontaneously on the weekdays. Just keep her as a contingency plan and always assume she is getting side dick.

It would help to know what type of teacher she wants to be. I'm talking to a Persian girl right now who teaches second grade, sweeter than sweet potatoes with brown sugar and butter. If university, be cautious.

When you're 21, your world will change, who knows what she'll do that you're gone.

First of all you are 20. Go read Rational Male 1 and 2. Then some Heartiste.

Then yes - a LDR as you described works perfectly well. You run Game from Monday to Thursday fucking other girls and then her on weekends. She has to remain monogamous while you get the highly coveted experience that girls prefer in men.

But you are still young - you don't have to rush things. Such a LDR with you banging other chicks while she is away actually works pretty well and most men could live for decades together with a woman like that. So I would say - go for it!

As a matter of fact tell her to keep it that way for the next decades.

Don't get into relationships expecting that you're going to change them. No, this isn't a everyone should feel good about themselves message. It's about what to expect. As a general rule people don't change. Ask yourself if you're going to be happy with her if she stays the same weight because the chances are she's going to stay the same or possibly put on weight.

You're saying "you're going traveling together in May of next year.." that's 13 months, you sound like you accept it's reality. You both will have changed a LOT at your ages, I wouldn't think of it as something that will definitely happen.

I'm not sure that i'd want to spend more time around my gf than that.

When I think of a LDR, I think for instance she studies in france while you stay in the states and you remain (foolishly) comitted to each other. OP's situation doesn't really strike me as a typical LDR.

Of course it's not much of long-distance if you see each other 3 days a week. I had LTRs like that seeing a girl only on weekends from Friday to Monday morning. You stay in contact during the week as well.

Long-distance is living completely apart - seeing each other once every 2 weeks or once a couple of months. That is useless.
