Despite the name, the International Conference on Masculinities isn't a MRA or Manosphere get-together.

It's a lemon party for de-balled male feminists and aligned social justice dweebs from the clown quarters of academia.

The brainchild of Michael Kimmel, (a low-testosterone version of Hugo Schwyzer) the aim of the conference isn't to study masculinity. It's to deconstruct and pathologise normal masculine behaviour.

Martin has spent the past year researching one group of Dagorhir enthusiasts at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He wanted to find out if, like Bailey and Harvey’s clopping bronies, they acted differently from other men. “Because I’m a nerd, I was able to get more unique conversations,” Martin says of his subjects.

Martin found out that the Dagorhir group conformed to masculine norms in several ways. One of the most significant, heartbreakingly, was in how they dealt with what seems to have been a near-constant barrage of insults from non-Dagorhir playing hecklers. The group would cope by ignoring the insults, pretending they were unhurt by them, pushing their feelings down deep inside. They were showing stoicism, refusing to show anxiety: hallmarks of hegemonic masculinity.

He has just written a book called Breaking the Male Code and he shows us a slide from his research, which states that more than 60% of men want greater emotional closeness in their male friendships. In his friendship labs, Garfield teaches men how to be friendly with one another. Attendees use a “feelings wheel” to identify how they are feeling. They come to his sessions once a week, Garfield says. The hardest part is when they try to apply what they have learned when they are hanging out with their unsuspecting buddies.

First there is a demand for “tolerance,” driven by a mild amygdala discomfort which the aberrant feel at being ostracized by others. Once tolerance is achieved, the aberrant set up a clique. Once there is a clique, they insulate themselves from criticism, re-imagine their aberrance as normal to shield their amygdala from irritation, and their amygdala adapts to this ease – this new, lower level of ostracization-based stress produced by their false reality of normalcy. The more I read stories like these, the more I come to understand just how deeply and utterly confused so many westerners (particularly those on the left) are about human sexuality and their own expression of it. It just seems to get madder by the day.

I'd be a little more animated about the absurdity, but I don't see the point. These people can't really be helped and, frankly, they don't need to be. Nature will sort their confusions out eventually because, contrary to their own wildly ignorant and highly arrogant beliefs, they are not above their own biology. No amount of "learning to be friends", "checking privilege", or "leaning in" will change the realities inherent to the human being, and no amount of preaching or funding will get the masses of the world (who, thankfully, VASTLY outnumber these confused westerners and haven't at all bought in to the fulcrum of foolery that is modern western feminism) to join their club. They can just "lean in" to themselves all they like.

The problem isn't just manipulation of the language; it's the framing involved with the change. By making "masculinity" plural, they're insinuating that there exist multiple kinds of masculinity, or that masculinity is subjective, similar to what leftists have done to the concept of gender (which can now, apparently, mean whatever the hell one wants it to mean).

This, in turn, suggests that some kinds of masculinity can be "good" and others "bad"-and I'd bet my bottom dollar that their definition of "good" ends up being whatever best suits a feminine imperative. These people aren't out to truly discuss masculinity-they're attempting to frame the conversation in order to convince men to adopt a pattern of behaviors and beliefs that best serve the prevailing social order. They're taking the blue pill, painting it red, and trying to pass it off as the real thing.

Those who have read The Way of Men (or who simply understand basic human biology) know that there are strict definitions for what it means to be a man, and to act in a masculine manner. It isn't for you, or me, or anyone else to define. It's encoded in our DNA.

Unfortunately, just like every other blank slatist idiot, these leftist morons continue to bury the truth under mountains of lies and bullshit. Makes me glad we have places like the RVF that help us see this manipulation for what it really is.
