Last friday a buddy of mine invited me over to a random house party. Both of us hardly knew anyone at the party, so it sounded to me like a good opportunity to practice my social skills in this kind of setting.

Now, right from the get-go, it was obvious this place was a bad prospect: the male to female ratio was like 70/30. Then on top of that, the majority of women were in relationships. One of the hostesses, let's call her Cleopatra, was available, and there was a slutty acting blondy who said she had a boyfriend, but at least hers wasn't actually present at the party, as was the case for most of the other prospects.

Me and my buddy ran some MM style game, getting to know all the different people at the party and casually increasing our recognition value. It turned out the majority of those present were all philosophy students. I used some silly namedropping banter to engage some conversations, like calling one girl a classic Stoic and another an embittered Schopenhauer with boobs.

Later on in the night, I decided to dance on the blonde slutty girl. She was one of those annoying ADHD attention seekers who would just jump from one dude to another. Everytime I turned things a little more sexual she would just outright run away, but of course she came back in the end. I ran some direct game on her, which in retrospect was a mistake since I hadn't isolated her. I also think I did not come across entirely congruent, as when I told her: "Hey I'm not a nice guy, I'm a bad boy" or something silly like that, she'd shit test me and bait me by saying "no I'm not convinced I think this isn't really you and you're actually nice on the inside". Eventually she ejected, and I bargained she'd maybe re-establish contact an hour later once she got bored by all the beta's.

She didn't. But hell it was a long shot anyway since she was taken anyway.

As the night progressed I decided to try my hand at Cleopatra, the young 7,5 philosophy student. My initial banter with her had been playful, but I think I already lost at that point, in that she'd just classified me as one of the many other beta's at the party. She'd even frizzle my hair as if I was some kind of pet. So I decided to confront her (which was silly as it was her houseparty; her court). While she sat in the middle of the couch, a beta to her left and a beta to her right, I told her to keep her hands away from my hair. Nope - still wouldn't take me seriously and she just frizzled it again. I told her to stop again - and she readied her fists as if to playfight...

I felt like there was nething left to win from this place, so I just said to her: you know you might be the Cleopatra of this party with Marcus Antonius here wrapped around your finger, but outside of this house you're nothing. Outside it's still a man's world and you won't win in the end.

"You don't even have the slightest clue of what I've gotten men to do for me." she started. Maybe at least I got her to defend herself.

Marcus Antonius though, wanted to White Knight. And a minute later Cleopatra successively called three Beta's for a quick high-five just to prove her dominence again.

Me and my buddy bailed the party, stealing a bottle of wine and a bottle of Vodka as our slight revenge.

The place was a deathtrap from the get-go. The ratio was shitty, the girls were taken or had ADD or were manipulators and the alpha male was gay. It's no suprise most of the guys I spoke there had a lay count of 1, with so many factors against you, and alpha females who have zero respect for men, or ADD blondies who run away the moment you turn things sexual, it seems nigh impossible to get action at a STUDENT HOUSE PARTY (in the Netherlands).

Still, I'd like to think that I could have played this in a better way as I don't want to say something's impossible too soon.

Is there any way I could have been the Caesar to her Cleopatra? Is there any way I could've tamed the ADD blondie? Or should I have just ditched the party the moment I saw the crappy dynamics...

In general these situations are lost causes unless you're bringing in really high value or top level game which sets you apart from other guys.

You could have really amped up the cocky/douchebag game on that girl and you had every reason to do so because she was doing it herself. When she was frizzling your hair, instead of warning her and asking her not to do so, you could have given it back to her with double the intensity - frizzle her hair back even more, pull it, call her names and maybe even slap her ass depending upon how she responds. You had a perfectly valid excuse to do it. She clearly bullied you and instead of bullying her back even more(which could have probably increased her attraction towards you), you started complaining.

And when she called in the betas to show her dominance, you could have made fun of her and told those guys something like "guys, she was saying she can get you all to kiss her ass anytime, is that true?". That would probably have made even the betas, a little defensive and she would have been denied what she wanted.

You gotta do this with a totally dont-give-a-fuck attitude with no expectations to attract the girl. When things get this combative with a girl, I completely forget about attracting her in that moment and just make sure that I put her in her place.

When a girl acts likes this you only have two options, double down and dominate her to the point of almost/being an asshole, or treat her like a little sister and write her off.

Dealing with these kinds of lizards is one of my specialties.

I always amp up the asshole game and put them in check, me ego being bigger than hers, acting like she's just a chump.

When you said you're not a nice guy, but a bad boy, you in effect put yourself in the nice guy category, remember, actions speak louder than words. Show her, don't tell her.

If a bitch ever touched my hair like a pet I'd grab her from the base of her skull and pull her hair and something asshole/funny like "let's cut the foreplay" "not nice is it ?" "oh you wanna play games?" something in a dark, dominant, deep, sexy voice.

The minute she raised her first, I would of grabbed her by the wrists off the couch and threw her over my shoulders or play wrestled with her. Her putting her playful fists up is a perfect invite to get physical. She wants to be dominated, she wants to be playful.

When you called her Cleopatra all you did was feed her already big ego and the she went and proved a point.

Never ever fulfill a woman's thirst, ignore her ass, and NEVER feed her ego.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like OP interpreted all of the go signals incorrectly?

From the very outset, it seems as if you have a chip on your shoulder, like this is some sort of competitive doing.

It's cooperative, not competitive. You're not trying to beat these girls, you're trying to help them.

What I think you did right
- you went out
- you went out with a plan
- you used Mystery Method to bounce around the group and understand the relationships
- You took that information and incorporated that into your opener

But once you started to actively try to pull chicks, there's an anger and judgment in your description that colors what were positive results.

On the real you sounded real cringeworthy with some of the shit you were saying according to you. Name dropping philosophers really? I've been at a party with nerdy philosopher students and not once did I hear a mention of philosophy unless we were out smoking a cigarette on the balcony of the place I was at. Up your ante and try to become a bit more social.

On "Cleopatra". Did you really pull a history neg about Marcus Antonius and Cleopatra? Okay man. Those princess types would just sit there and laugh at you especially the "intelligent" types. For those of you guys trying to pull these types just talk to everyone else around and have a good time. The one thing you did correctly was try to become friends with the entire crowd(though I'm willing to doubt your success from the lines you were using). Those girls will approach you as they think you are fun if you are having a blast with everyone else at the party. Hell I would be dancing at the center and dragging random strangers in to have a good time works like a charm if you position yourself in close proximity to the alpha female of the party. The fact that this girl felt your hair and was trying to qualify you by ruffling your hair meant she had some interest in you if things went as you said.

10/10 would cringe at again work on your social skills. The nature of this post reminds me of every 18 year old who finally got into college and brags about the supposed parties he went to in high school/they claim they are currently going too that are obviously full of shit.

General tips:
-Don't talk about serious topics such as philosophy or history at a college party unless of course it involves a funny story about how your friend dressed up as a gorilla and came to class or an intentionally bad pun.

-If a girl likes to touch or feel up on you and then runs off flirt with another girl right after and I guarantee she'll run back at a party.

-Always have more than one party booked for a night. 70/30 ratio for a college party is absolute shit. I guarantee you there was a better one that night.

-As Archie said princess types will not even notice you if you aren't worth shit. You might be worth a good laugh or she might have genuine curiosity about you. Being angsty and emotional won't get you anywhere when dealing with a girl who can get all the dick she wants.

-Bring some of your own damned girls to the party. If you thought the ratio was shitty call up the crap tons of girls that you have on your phone earlier on in the day or the day before about a party. Some of those girls I guarantee will want to jump your bones and this might be a good excuse or you might display social value with them. Collecting numbers is the easy part of college don't let them go to waste.

-If two girls ruined your entire night and perception of a party the problem might not have been the party but you yourself.

-The fact that you needed to make a post about how butthurt two girls made you is pretty sad.

Excellent post WIA.

OP, as WIA says if the girls are giving you attention it means on some level you're on their radar.

The fact that you got so bitter over this speaks that you care wayyyyy too much.

Next time focus on having fun and connecting with people. That'll bear fruit for you in the future when you get invited to the same places again and again. Once you've been in the setting a couple of times, you'll soon see that one or two of the girls will give you strong IOIs if you are relatively cool and social.

In some situations you just choose to leave a good impression and continue the fight another day. With a 70-30 ratio it probably wasn't the best scenario, but if you just played it cool and socialized you'll be a strong position for the next house party.
