It's a bit gay but yes I have to agree with Travesty here that guy would have to work it hard in L.A.

I admire the perseverance and work ethic of asian people. When I was in undergrad taking advanced Chem classes there were a few Asians who didn't speak a word of English and would come into class and listen to lectures and take notes on their Ipads. Somehow without understanding a single word being said they always managed to have the highest grades in class. Meanwhile in America we have women bitching about how a guy who made one of the most remarkable scientific accomplishments in the 21st century Tshirt had women more attractive then they are is sexist and oppressive and held them back from being Nobel Laureates so they had to drop out of STEM and become intersectional feminist critique majors.

For the most part in SoCal there is still a lot of division. You most often see hot Asian chicks with Asian guys. With hot white chicks it is usually white guys, sometimes Latino guys, and rarely black or middle eastern, almost never Asian which is strange for how much diversity we have.

You do see the white male asian female pairing, but usually both aren't great looking or the white guy is better looking by a bit.

My view is most likely skewed. Which is why I need to to get out more and travel. SoCal is definitely a bubble into itself.

For instance in Orange County there were clubs and bars I would go to with my Asian friends that were 95%+ Asian inside. There were only a few rare bars where whites, latinos, and asian mixed in even numbers and they were usually very hipster in nature which isn't my scene.

Southern CA has weird social dynamics. The bay area is even worse.

You have really tight asian cliques everywhere and you also have a lot of guys rolling around with serious money or minor fame game. This means that if you're asian your choices for dating across asian social circles depends on how "in" you are with each ethnic group. Then you have lots of beta super chodes who grew up with the same girls and have been trying to court them for 20+ years who are the ultimate cockblock guardians.

The asian population is so big that it alienates a lot of other race girls (white) on the outside looking in. The other options are latina but you better be running tight game as well.

This is why so many PUA guys originated from CA and why so many decided to go to Vegas after awhile.

I don't buy that it would be that easy to get a chick at this level for an average Asian dude in the USA. Not impossible, but not easy by any means. There are outliers in any situation..my cousin is a weird natural though. He's not a dork and has good people skills. He also has a hipster vibe despite not being hipster at all. They use their language skills and just being a local to import products from the big world-manufacturer China. They can even help local businessmen get products from China. Man, I'm happy for this guy. Basically in the video he talks about how he had no real job prospects, just landed piss-poor in Ukraine with no knowledge of the language and was enrolled in an arts school. He met this beautiful young girl and somehow got together with her. Then he just goes on about how they have a kid together and how he goes to pick her up after she's done with class. Dating takes place within a market place. In London I have a v attractive Romanian girl who tells me that I would easily clean up in Romania as the men are poor ugly, rude and alcoholic in general.

Meanwhile she knows if she went to Australia, particularly Melbourne where I'm from, she would get hit on by an abundance of 6"0+ dudes with good looks who are financially secure with likely interests in music, sports/surfing, travel, hipster lifestyle.

If either of us went to the other's home country we would be at a huge competitive advantage in the dating market but relatively disadvantaged if we had to stay put.

This Chinese guy is in a market where dudes are commonly short, ugly, wife-beating alcoholics with little to no prospects. He is a dude that has a good build, rarity and exoticness, a local social circle, his own business and the hardiness to stick it out in a difficult environment and come out on top. He isn't an alcoholic and doesn't look like a wife beater.

Compared to his Ukrainian male counterparts he is definitely a catch. He's not being compared to the apex guys of SoCal or Australia's big cities, just as we don't set our standards at Ukrainian beauty level if we live in places where beautiful women are in v short supply.
