Inbreeding has its worst effects over multiple generations. The Habsburg ruling dynasty in Spain is a good example. Outbreeding stopped around the 1550's and so by the time Charles II of Spain was born in 1661, all of his ancestors were very closely related. The result was an impotent hapless man:

Homosexuality was as taboo as it ever was in the 60's. Even in the 90's it was still an extremely scorned thing. It got normalized with blinding speed.

Transgenderism is quickly being normalized too. Give it another five years on its present course and it will likely be as normalized (despite its being an extremely freakish occurrence statistically).

The lesson is that these entrenched sexual minority groups can wield extremely disproportionate amounts of power with the aid of their sympathizers.

This post isn't to debate the merits of homosexuality or transgenderism, but to show just how quickly something can be normalized.
