I meant to say A Serbian Film, but I was wrong as Brian says above. It's well known for being disturbing as fuck. It's banned from many countries

The film Happiness by Todd Solondz is one of the more difficult movies to watch as are some of his other films like Storytelling and Welcome to the Dollhouse.

The 2011 film Kill List very intense film.

Tusk a 2014 Kevin Smith horror movie which was particularly disturbing needless to say I will never look at Justin Long the same way again.

The film Precious

This movie follows a young girl living in a former Soviet Republic and her move to Sweden. This movie disturbs your soul. I don't recommend watching this unless you want to feel bad for a few hours afterwards. Nonetheless, it's a very good film and I suggest watching it.

You will want to find a version with English subtitles. The main languages are Russian and Swedish.

You can do it yourself. I don't want to give any of the story away. Watch it first and you will understand why.

Bloodsucking Freaks was disturbing. It's a black comedy about human trafficking.

Like people have said about other disturbing movies, it really kind of sucks.

I recommend watching Tusk.

Hilarious.

I almost shit myself laughing at the one particular scene. I don't find it disturbing at all, more along the lines of WTF?

I didn't Google or IMDb before I watched it so if you do it might spoil it for you.

Threads (1984) - A documentary-style movie about nuclear war in the UK. It is old and the special effects aren't very good, but this movie is the most accurate depiction of nuclear war I have ever seen. Needless to say, this movie will make you wish a nuclear war never happens.

Caligula (1979) - A pornographic depiction of the life of Emperor Caligula. Dark, violent, full of nudity and even triple-x sex scenes, this movie is so bad that it became a cult classic.

House of 1000 Corpses (2003) - A Rob Zombie horror flick. Gruesome and violent. Not much else to say about it.

Why would you be so reluctant to give us any sort of summary? It is about a young girl tricked into Swedish prostitution. I'm going to guess she kills her self at the end or it doesn't end on a happy note, e.g. she doesn't get rescued or escape

The Human Centipede (First Sequence).

The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence).

The first one was actually pretty good but the second one...well it is a bit too gross for my tastes.

I thought Martyrs was fucked up, really grim viewing.

Inside http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0856288/?ref_=tt_rec_tt is also pretty unpleasant.

I agree! It's a briliant movie, going backwards, and with a bunch of good (although disturbing) scenes. The director, Gaspar Noé, has a couple of other interesting films, one which is related to Irréversible.

I don't know what you are trying to prove, but that's a real shithead move you just pulled.

The scariest movie I've ever seen is The Grudge. It's hard to follow though, and you can't really follow the story. Sarah Michelle Gellar stars.

Have you seen the original? The Japanese do make some decent horror movies.

Aussie horror film Wolf Creek and its sequel are pretty fucked up as well. Not so much the actual gore scenes but the guy who plays the serial killer is one of the most fucked up characters I've ever seen on film.

RE: Controversial/Disturbing Movies? (NSFW)
check out white christmas black mirror. It's disturbing to watch and there is no gore except the part where the uncle guy dies. People say it's genuinely "unsettling." The show presents a "what if" world of people who are living under the thumb of technology. Eyesight is controlled by technology and you have the ability to block people out of your life. Kinda of hard to explain but the show is a mindfuck. I think it blows away all the shows mentioned in this thread. The trailer doesn't do it justice but I posted below.

Here is the full show on youtube before it gets taken down.

I recommend The Fall (2006). Visually beautiful movie about a guy telling a story to a girl in a hospital while drugged up on pain killers.

I also recommend El Topo, but do not watch this with girls around because it's really weird.
