So let Lena Dunham say it, not hide behind her fucking publisher. The page posted by Barry's lawyer on gofundme says:

Remember that, although a lot of her descriptions of Barry didn't add up, there was enough for many people to identify Barry as the man who is now seeking the possibility of legal action through gofundme.

Penguin Publishing House are now offering to:

My point is that if Barry accepts Penguin's offer and doesn't pursue them, the almost $25000 that was raised by donors who thought their donations were going towards clearing Barry's name and going after Lena will automatically go towards a cause they did not intend. There's nothing wrong with donating towards a cause, but if I donate to cancer research, I want it to go towards cancer research, not another cause.

What are the potential legal consequences for Lena and Penguin if they win? What are the chances of success? How much would it cost to launch a successful lawsuit against her?

Same criticism still applies: either it's bullshit "regret/rape", or Dunham has let a rapist wander around for 15 years or so without being apprehended.

Having never seen anything about the show, I can say the one on the far right looks pretty bangable. Although in the cast picture she has man hands and a man face...
