Damn right.
Take these two appropriating motherfuckers:
That's Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson, currently funking up the charts with the 1970's American disco homage Uptown Funk.
This a disgusting example of cultural appropriation - Ronson, the guy who wrote the song, is as English as wanking to a picture of the Queen on a £20 note.
She loves it.
But it's also temporal appropriation, because those bastards are stealing from the 70's. Much as he might sort-of remind you of a young Michael Jackson before it all started to go horribly weird, Bruno Mars wasn't even alive in the 70's.
And how about these shiny-helmeted cunts:
Pharell thought he was doing an episode of Battlestar Galactica
Again, black American 70's funk is being stolen by people who are not black, American, or living in the 1970's. In fact, they're not even human! Daft Punk are actually androids, originally built by the French Ministry of Prostitution to serve as pleasurebots.
Gay pleasurebots.

Hip-hop is a culture that encompasses, style of dress, slang, food choice, recreation, music, etc. Rap is the music of hip-hop culture.
It's traditionally divided into 5 Elements:
DJ'ing
Breakdancing
Graffiti
Beatboxing
Rapping
Rap and hip-hop are not synonyms like others have suggested: e.g, ikebana is a facet of Japanese culture but the inverse doesn't make sense.
R&B is totally separate music genre from rap. Think R. Kelly, Ginuwine, The Dream, etc.

If I looked out my showroom window and saw a fully-nude woman force-fucking an alligator with a strap-on while snorting xanex on the roof of her rental car with her three children locked inside with the windows rolled up, I wouldn't be entirely amazed.

Beat me to it. Thanks for clearing that up.
Hip Hop is/was a cultural movement. Rap is merely just one of the elements it was comprised of.
R&B itself way older than Hip Hop and even rapping (I think). WIA could correct me on that. R&B music dates back to the 1940s or so.
