I remember the first time i ever stumbled upon the whole "foreign brides" thing. It was back in 2000, 13 years ago, right after i graduated college and got my first real world job. My job was a small tech company and even with only about 30 employees, THREE, yes 3 had foreign brides.. One guy had just married his wife from Finland, one wife was from Russia, and one from Thailand. I remember when Brian's (a 30 year old clean cut average white guy) wife from Thailand came to the office for lunch one day.. I will never forget her smile, happiness and the enthusiasm she had for him, it was something i had never seen quite like that.. T

I have known quite a few other friends and co-workers over the years who have married foreign women. I have done some research into just how many American men are going over seas and it's hard to find any hardcore data.

American women and culture have gotten exponentially worse even from 13 years ago when the new millenium hit so i can imagine more men than ever are going overseas. Hell, im thinking about it myself.

Question: Is it in the tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or hell even millions the number of american single men marrying foreign women?

Or even as a percentage, 1%? 3%? 5%?

My guess would be hundreds of thousands but nearing the millions real soon..

Was listening to a radio talk show today and a guy living in the USA with a Guatamalen wife who he's trying to get into the USA via legal means said he had to sign an affidavit that promises he'll support her for 10 years if they get a divorce.

10. Freaking. Years. Damn....I've been thinking about eventually marrying a foreigner maybe from Colombia....but if the government requires that kind of B.S., Screw that.

I hope this is an isolated thing and not something the government is going to require for any foreign bride to emigrate to the US.

Go to visa journey. Com and you can look at all the K1 visa and k3 visa applications for the past few years, how long it took, and whatnot.

It's not fully inclusive but it might help. Also you can go to the state department or USCIS website and they have graphs and charts as well.

This is false.

Also if you were to divorce they won't be able to get a 10 year green card or renewals , unless they become
a citizen.

The affidavit for support just means that you can provide support for them for the first few years, because it might take that long before they can get a work permit. You have to show financial standing. There is a govt worksheet that explains all this.

I know this because I did this myself.

You can get an exception if you have religious reasons or if you have another kind of hardship that prevents you from meeting her, such as a war zone, financial, etc

It's easier than you think. I thought the same thing until I went through it and spoke to guys I thought were too poor or pathetic to go through it. So many women are so desperate for a man they spend lots of money themselves just to be with these guys. Some of the shit on these visa shows, like the 90 day visa on the tlc channel are not too far off, even though their mission is to show you the crazy stuff mostly. That said, there are just as many crazy pairings to go along with normal ones.

Just see "90 Day Fiancee" show on TLC. There is a thread for it here. Almost all the guys on the show make less than 100k, some make so little that they still live with roommate's, drive old cars and live in cheap cities in the midwest.

Well after dating Thai girls, I definitely want to bring a Thai bride back to Canada once I settle down. No way I'm going back with Western girls after experiencing something like that.

It's always easier for most westeners (if you're not a loser) to get higher quality girls in Asia. For example my current Thai gf:
- Was a virgin (I took her cherry)
- Best of her class in university
- 8/10 looking
- Good english

I would probably not get that kind of girl in the West. I would get a bitchy face from them. +1 for foreign brides.

Just work on being a man with options, in general western women just can not compete. I don't want to be bitter and jaded, but im not sure I could ever have a serious LTR with a western women again. The thing is as men we have a choice; western women do not.

Actually that isn't exactly true....what it says is you are responsible for reimbursing the government for any public assistance (welfare, food stamps, etc, ) she receives if any during the first 10 years she is here.

I have never heard of it being enforced but then again I have even hear of a foreign bride actually ever getting public assistance.

Biggest risk of bringing a hot foreign wife here is the guys hitting on her that make 10 times more than you do. jajaja

There is something to that. I have posted about that lightly before. Really poor guys that have 7+ foreign wives, better stay in the countryside. Going to a major city without a pay boost, is not wise at all. Especially if you did not put a decent ring on her finger. There are actually men that hunt for these women in attempts to try to take them off busted dudes.

As for that public assistance stuff, they just hit you at tax time so your tax return will suck. For whatever reasons some try to get free milk for babies, etc. and all that does is hit your taxes if you did not really qualify for the assistance. They won't let too many people abuse this stuff.

The real conundrum is that the west is where the opportunity is, depending where your interests lay I guess. And great for most things and quality of life; except the women.

The West is also where the great climate and quality of living is.

If one is going to have a foreign bride it's likely she will be at least a couple points higher in value, and much younger. In my opinion it would terribly unwise to let her have a job or hobbies, etc that would allow her to have individual freedom outside the home. I guess that would be branded today as draconian, controlling and not "progressive". Well, ok then, try it the modern way and see how that goes.

Some men also just aren't up for the masculine responsibiliy that's entailed in providing for a family and sacrificing his life and resources for them. This means destroying his previous individual life.

A woman needs to surrender and a man needs to sacrifice. If she senses he is not doing that and instead still running around and acting like a self-interested boy then she will feel resentment for surrendering and it may not go well.

So do your part and keep her busy in the home with kids, chores, business, etc. Of course no television or internet access without you being there and having some key-logger etc in place. It's best to lay down the ground rules way beforehand and let her know what to expect, how life will be and that it's in the best interests of your marriage and she needs to trust your right.

If she balks in anyway about it, then Next her ass. Of course you also need to use your Spidey senses and see if she's bothered about it but just not saying anything.

The bolded part was fantastic. Especially the surrender and sacrifice parts. The rest afterwards isn't necessary though. There is no need to try and lock them down that hard though. Not if you pick the right one in the first place.

That's exactly what I am going through right now. Now that I do not have to go hunting for pussy or wasteful habits like porn or whatever (still working on the video game habit ), all I do now is try to figure out how create a future that I can pass down to my kids and increase the entire family's wealth.

I feel like with an incredible wife, I can focus on the next level of self-improvement and help others around me better. Even with a crying baby around, I seem to have more overall energy for projects and other interests in an overall sense because I no longer have to hunt for ass. Something that consumed a great deal of my time. One thing is constant, there is never enough time to do anything. Hopefully within the next 5 years I can put some kind of business together and stop working for other people. Once that happens I can focus on growing that business and perhaps I can take my family to the next level that I know is possible.
