Hey Rvers, some of you may have noticed the Making Money off a Blog Thread that I started up a while back. Having using all the info that I gained from it, as well as from danger & play and Chris's forum, I decided to spend the next 6-12 months fully focused on making money on the internet, with my goal being to be earning enough money monthly to go location independent by the end of it.

Some of you may ask why I've decided to this, and the reason being because I'm gonna be graduating from uni at the end of next year, thus I'm not too keen to get a suit and tie and joining the corporate world at the end of it.

I'm gonna use this thread to record my journey. Any comments, tips and suggestions are welcomed!

Quick advice for the fastlane: Study the freelancing topics here, take 1000-2000$ and get a plane ticket to a cheap country. Now there are really no more excuses and within a few months you have reached your goal and will learn along the way while getting paid already.

I would recommend to make some money first. You don't want to get there and find out you are not able to make money online..

I wouldn't say it's as black and white as you make it look like. There are advantages and disadvantages of just jumping into the cold water or the slower way of building a business first and relocation afterwards.

If he is a student and he is going to graduate soon, I would recommend him to work on his online business now until he graduates. After the graduation, he can "relocate" for up to 6 months to SEA or SA. In this 6 months, he can focus even more on his business and enjoying feminine girls.

Most students take a break after graduating as well, they waste their time with backpacking or getting drunk. He can use his time more effective and work on his business in this time. If he realizes that this lifestyles isn't the right thing for him, he can still go back without losing face.

Very keen on doing something similar. I came up with either teaching English over the net for $30 hr or learning SQL for freelance stuff.

Still no clue really. Need to lurk more.

I'm in the same boat as you. Thats why Ive decided to rather just dive into something, then wait 3-4 months thinking about what to do
