Hey guys,
I don´t wanna spam my site, just want your opinions on the business cards i had printed recently. For me the cards are a great way to get feedback from people i meet on my views on my trip and my life. Also i dont wanna facebook every guy who wants to keep in touch.

Please rate from 1 - 10 ( 1 being the worst card you´ve ever seen) and give me opinions on the style.

Haha aw come on man, she's really cute.

I'm not sure how much business cards go for in the US, or whereever you are getting them, but in general it's better to invest more money in higher quality cards.

Neil, is that pic with you and a ton of chicks in Vietnam? Those girls are pretty damn cute. All of the Vietnamese chicks I know in New York are busted, but that's probably because they're engineers or finance chicks. I hear they're hotter in Cali.

I think the card is a little bit busy. It's already got a lot going on with the font. In my humble opinion, I think you should only feature the girl who is walking on the beach with her ass in our direction. Take both other chicks out of the picture. Also, move her to the right side so that the font and picture don't overlap.

Just my opinion. If you could get a mockup/sample of that it would be cool.

You can probably get someone to photoshop that for you on http://www.fiverr.com in a couple of hours time, for five bucks.

I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with this business card. Just drive traffic to your blog? Shouldn't you have some accomplice at home doing that for you with these cards in that case? I just can't figure out how you are going to market these, to random guys in bars on the road?

It's the guys back home in the cubicles that you want to reach out to.

I would go for something a bit more elegant and simpler. That card looks like my 12 year old nephew made it on photoshop. That is the kind of clientelle you're going to attract. Make it sexy, but not like a vegas street hooker ad you might see caught on a bush outside on the strip.

Can you be more percise about which picture you are talking about ? i have quite a lot of pictures like that ?

I hand them out because i want feedback on my lifestyle and to get people talking about it. Esspecially whem i piss people of with it than i´m sure they will tell their friends at birthday parties.
This will drive some traffic to my blog. I have no accomplice back home.

Hey Neil,

I think you are wasting your money with the cards. If you want traffic, then you should start posting a lot more. Blogging is a lot of work and you need to be consistent with it. I just looked at your blog and it has very little quantity of posts. You will get traffic from posting more and more topics. It just looks like you haven't really put anything into your blog.

You also want readers to come back several times a week and can only be done with consistent posting.

Blogging is a lot of work.

Sometimes i leave a stack in hostels or bars. I also hand them out to foreigners i meet. No use handing them out to locals. I can follow my trafficon my site so i can see if it works. if not, well than i lost 30 dollars. No big deal.

You don´t have to lecture me on blogging . i know its a shitload of work. I started the blog from scrath with NO knowledge of building websites at all. i think i did a pretty good job so far. I´m very far behind with the travel stories because i´m already 2 travelin 2 years and 5 months and only blogging for 5 months. I have to catch up with 2 years of travel stories. The best ( south East Asia ) is yet to come.

I´m trying to post twice a week but don´t have the time for it now. i have to choose between traveling on a insane schedule and banging girls OR sit behind a screen and type up stories.

Once i´m home i will promote the shit out of the site since i´m not planning on getting a job. I´ll have a glassfiber conection and 2 large screen to work with. Now i have a 10 inch laptop and a shitty connection at bet.

Too bad you don't have more time to post right now. It takes time to build a following and I am sure you will be pretty broke once you get back home (based on what you said in other posts).

You might want to write up your posts in Word so all you have to do is copy and paste it.

Neil, a business card is not a bad idea if it just has your contact info on it, including your blog address. I would skip the pictures that you currently have. It's actually obnoxious and reminds me of those porn cards the mexicans hand out on the corners of Las Vegas.

If you want to drive traffic to your site, pissing off people is not the way to do it. That's the Tucker Max approach circa 2004 and it gets old quick...real quick. I would highly recommend you focus more on quality blog content.
No offense but the message I quoted from you above sounds like a bunch of excuses. If you want to maximize blog traffic, then my opinion is you give people a good reason to go to your site. People want to 1) learn, 2) be entertained and 3) live vicariously through others who are out there what they secretly want to do but cannot escape the cubicle to actually do. Make your site useful full of real-time travel tips. I would love your site if it was full of your own custom data sheets on all the places you've been. No excuses about no time or 10-inch screen - that's all bullshit. You take flights, you have down time, you take trains, etc. Use that time to write and contribute to the community. If you produce quality content, your site will flourish. Conversely, if you just post pictures of you with women, it will attract some attention from guys who want an idea of what the women in a particular location really look like, but you'll get little to no return hits from them because you offer nothing else.

No offense at all, just my honest opinion to help a brother out.

I thought the cards were to get women to call you, but for driving in traffic, you would do well writting more and learning a little SEO while you can. It helps to know what tittle, tags, and words to use. Once you have plenty of content, submit your site to the search engines...

Neil, for you next batch, I highly recommend going with something very simple. Your website url is provacative enough that all you need is your pseudonymn, url, and a sexy little catch phrase along with a simple logo. Maybe a silhouette of a woman and a globe. Maybe a short one or two sentence mission statement on the back also.

No need for the color photos of the women and the beach.

Around the World in 80 girls is quite a clever url. You don't need much else to pique someone's interest. Especially a horny male traveler.

Yep, i do write them up in word and copy paste, i have also a dutch travelblog which is up to date, i have to write up those stories first (before i forget details) i translate those posts to english and write the extra stuff i dont want my family to read on the 80girls blog.

I will be broke as fuck when returning home and will have to live with family and friends for a while. in this time i will work like a dog on my site and other projects.

On the datasheets : i know i could easily write a 150 datasheets if i kept track of names and streets i visted in all my cities. i didnt because i just blog for 5 months and already traveling for 2 years and 5 months. It would also be like cloning Naughty nomad. The difference between our sites is that he for 90% mostly provides datasheets and raw info and my site describe everything that happend to me when traveling. The good and the bad and the ugly . I dont lie on my site, if i dont get laid for a while or have issues. i will write about it.

I now only take busses and travel in on insane schedule. i mostly take night busses so there no dayliight to write shit up. Batery life of my laptop is only a few houtrs so never take it on board. The daylight time i have i usually need for learning spanish on the bus.

I did all that seo stuff, i spend countless hours learning about it. Now i just use an all in one seo tool in wordpress. Works really well.

i do take it serious, i also have doubts because i realize now that when i leave a stack of cards anywhere ( bars /hostels) the staff will probably throw them away because there to provocative.

Good feedback, although printing on both sides will increase the price a lot i guess. Yep, the title is well chosen. i like it a lot. it always get a lot of laughs and curiousity.

I might experiment with a few new designs in the near future. but i still have a shitload of cards i won´t throw away now.

She found out about my site and totally freaked out over her pictures even though her fae was seriousy blurred out. Her body is still in the pictures though. its the ones with the underwear saying ; will work for shoes.

We had a major email battle and she is a total drama queen complainng how she has to protect her business. I said i wont remove them bcause your face is not visible. She already written down some names of other girls on my facebook before i blocked her. and threatend to tell those girls too. after this i removed the pics. i dont want thing spreading all over mu facebook.

She's from Bali/indonesia and has her own office/business. I wasn't worried about her threats about taking my site down. I think i got my privacy covered online. Back in Holland im registered as a homeless person. It was the only way to get out of mandatory health insurance. I basically dissapeared of the radar for taxes,government, all companies.
When she threatened to tell my other facebook friends i got a bit scared of a domino effect.

In the states she could force you (through the law) to remove her photo due to the nature of its use (i.e. your site is all about banging women). She could sue for defamation of character, libel, slander, you name it...what you write about her is merely your word against hers...but I don't believe you're from the states so it's a moot point.

If I were you, I'd be more concerned about her retaliation. With photoshop and a little time on her hands, she could really fuck you up. She could pay a few talented graphics students looking for a quick buck to put your face on the nastiest amateur gay porn and plaster the photos all over the Internet -- linking back to your site. With time and anger, there are no limits...

So my question is: Why not just get rid of the photo if she doesn't approve of you posting it? I know we think very little of the female gender around here, but you shouldn't interfere with someone's reputation and need to make a living. Let her go and move on from it.
