I feel like I've been seeing more and more of this shit in the news lately. I'm worried there's going to be another big push for "equal rights" that'll finally get me to leave this country for greener (less feminized) pastures, but I'm hopeful that there's been enough of an awakening of males regarding this nonsense that there'll be some pushback.

I am surprised and disappointed at how many guys on social media lap this stuff up. The number of guys posting about how disgusting it is that women have to deal with cat-calling in the streets etc. Like this is a worse problem now than it ever has been in history. In reality, it's probably less. It's just a bunch of not-so-attractive attention-seeking uggos fake-complaining. I never see an attractive woman complain "oh, I hate how construction workers smile at me and whistle at me in the street".

I have my share of the chardonnay-socialist SWPL brigade as Facebook friends who wasted no time in trotting this landmark moment on my newsfeed, replete with such captions as "100 points for Gryffindor" and "Emma Watson is a goddess. One of them is an editor of mamamia.com.au (basically an Australian Jezebel). All but one of those shares were by chicks.

Was it a lack of courage that stopped me from commenting on how did acting in a spate of films revolving around magic spells and growing up qualified one to champion the cause of women's issues?

That her speech is fast on the way to being enshrined up there with Churchill's "Iron Curtain" speech or Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" address smacks of white privilege in a time where women in white society couldn't have it any better.

The best case scenario in this appointment is a focus on women's issues in those parts of the world where it really matters, those regions where women are not legally allowed to drive a car, or go to school, or would be disowned for sleeping with a boy from a different tribe.

...you know, societies where women face far more pressing threats than being catcalled in the street or having an arse groped in a club.

As opposed to it being heralded as a foothold in the battle for women's recognition in the Western world, mental masturbation for the cause of first-world women's problems indeed.

In a lot of ways feminism is exactly like that, entitled uggos who don't want to improve (because they feel they deserve to have high quality men no matter what their attitude is and how they look) trying to bring down other women and destroy their potential to live happy lives and raise a healthy family. The fact that it harms men by de facto is icing on the cake. No one wants them, so they must make everyone suffer.

As for the catcalling, women don't mind attention but the whole anti-catcalling thing is because they're getting attention from people they don't want it from. If Brad Pitt catcalled them on the street they wouldn't be mad about it.

Emma Watson has either been tricked into believing the shit or is making money off preaching this. Or maybe she's a lesbian man-hater. Who knows?
