tourist are forbidden to talk or interact with locals, social disruption/agitation of any kind from foreigners is not accepted , check out the mark at 32:38, how the fucked up travel guide is proud of harassing curious tourists, jealously is the most common feeling there.

Yeah heard about this story. At least the people smuggling bibles and doing things like that though stupid are doing something they believe in and standing up for something, this kid seems like he's just playing games being an idiot. I was reading something about how North Korea kinda uses situations like this to get some us official to go over tehre and try to talk about other issues but with all else going on in the world they said thats not gonna happen. No one really knows what exactly happened to him other than the fact he went to North Korea. I doubt the Norks would lie about him tearing up his visa and detain him, though.

I don't get why people want to go to that shithole given the risks involved. We're talking about a country that used to kidnap Japanese citizens from Japanese territory and force them to live and work there.
